Maybe I am going crazy or i'm drunk
, but wouldn't this have been quite a unique and interesting matchup at heavyweight? Ok, it's likely going to sound unrealistic as Roy only had the 1 fight at heavyweight, but I am thinking of this matchup based on their mutual opponent John Ruiz - RJJ dominated a partly shot Ruiz in 03 to a UD while Haye could only finish him after 9 rounds, 6 years later when he was fully shot.
So, granted Haye has the advantage in power from being the bigger man but while Roy still had most of his skills at that point when he beat Ruiz, and speed, I think this could be an interesting fantasy matchup with two slick, speedy, skilled but smaller men, fighting at heavyweight. Fairly unique nowadays if both fighters at HW aren't weighing more than 215 or so.
