My concern regarding Provodnikov is whether or not he can escape the sparring partner mentality against Pac. When you've been someone's sparring partner for so long, I would imagine eventually your psyche starts to accept the student/inferior role. I like that Provodnikov has heart, but his stamina and skills are not elite. This would be a good 2nd follow up fight since getting flattened by JMM. I'd like to see Pac against Bradley afterwards. I think Bradley does much better without the ankle injury. I actually thought the first fight was closer than the general consensus.

Harsh words for someone you supposedly know and respect.

Manny will be the overwhelming favorite but Provodnikov has a shot. It may not be much of a shot but he's a live dog for sure. Ruslan will have to cut the ring off masterfully to give himself opportunities to hurt Manny. He showed the ability against Alvarado and at times against Bradley but Manny is a whole different animal with better footwork. Provodnikov will have to attack the body early and often and try to slow Manny down. His hope would rest on Manny breaking down late in the fight.

I would say Manny wins by a comfortable UD. He could possibly win by cuts stoppage. It should be a good action packed fight.

He kind of has a chance of winning the actual fight, but he has a great chance in turning Manny old, overnight.

That's why this fight is all types of wrong for Manny.

Obviously. Provodnikov spends way too much time walking in and not punching his way in. He's far too selective for a guy with his fighting style. A world class trigger puller like Pacquiao will annihilate him. They're in completely different leagues.

Golovkin was dead wrong in his prediction for Garcia-Matthysse. I disagree with him on this too. Provodnikov would be a live dog for 12 rounds IMO.
