Does everybody understand that just because you are the best does not mean that you have to fight the next best guy every time out. It's unwise and would tear a fighter apart in quick time, especially at his level with the weight gains and weight class jumping.

It's taken me time to warm to Jr. He has done many things but he has yet to lose, you can not knock him. He's making tons of money for being able to display a defense that few have been able to penetrate Even when they have penetrarted hs defense he has met them with an offense, which is obviously hampered in power with the moving of weight classes but is sizzlin' and oh so pinpoint accurate.

Could it be that 'Pretty Boy' knows EXACTLY what's up? Could it be that 'Pretty Boy' is not just a nick name for Floyd Jr but rather a way of life for him.

He will fight who he will in the near future showing his fine use of the shoulder 'roll'. He may not fight all of the fights that you wish he would. He may not thrill people with his 'defense first' strategy that he employs but know this, he does believe and pray for one thing through. That he will be able to enjoy his eventual retirement with his millions and the 'family' that he has built around him. I hope that it works out that way for him.

If you want to boycott his bouts then by all means do so. Many people will pay hoping to see Jr lose, just the same many people will pay to see him win. But when it's all said and done, with Floyds retired, the people quit giving their money and you're left with what you have left. Financialy, verbally, the equilibrium, the memory, the cognitive and motor skills, etc.

Floyds made his money and earned the respect around the world. You want to boycott his fights? Well don't let the door hit you in your ass on the way out. We have Floyd for possibly a couple more fights, if that even. I may shell out for Floyds next bout, it would seem to me that I would be watching the new milleniums Willie Pep. A defensive wiz with tons of knowledge and skil, not to mention NOBODY has been able to beat him.

In todays society brutal violence has become more attractive than the arts, it is what it is. We like offense, right? Give us offense...... and then when you're done give us more offense. After that give us more offense and so on..........

The only thing that essentially matters to the masses, when it's all said and done, are wins and loses. For the fighters there is so much more at risk than just wins and loses. Floyd wanted to be called 'Pretty Boy', we did and he is. Don't jump in his ass for trying to make sure that he'll be 'Pretty' in 10 or 15 years from now, with his speach and everything. If you see Floyd Jr. in 10 or 15 years from now go shake his hand and introduce yourself. Hopefully hell be 'there'

Go ahead and boycott, you and all of your non art lovin' friends, Floyd will still be getting paid................ Rockin'
I know this has nothing to do with what you are saying but the Mayweather family does not age well at all. Take a look at Floyd Sr. and Rodger. They are double UGLY. Mayweather Jr. was a handsome young man but now he has lost some of his looks and his face is getting that harsh mean look of the older Mayweathers. In 15 years it is certain that nobody will think of Mayweather Jr. as pretty. He will probably be almost as ugly as his dad and uncle are now.

    • Have we really gotten to the point of arguing over Mannys not yet announced fight to Mayweathers not yet announced fight?

      • I thought you were already boycotting every Floyd fight.

        • I will boycott it if he fights Khan.

          • A much publicise boycott resulting in a significant fall in predicted PPV numbers will make Floyd take the more testing fights.

Boxing fans always complain that the big fight don't happen, we do have the power to change it.

We just got to stop acting like mugs.

The vast money Floyd and other top boxers get come from us we pay them.

If they are doing things we don't really want, then don't pay.

I really like the idea. I think if this idea was unified among other boxing forums and maybe social media it could have a real effect. The key would just be connecting everyone. People all came together for Kony and invisible children and that was all started by going viral with it.

                  • Lol you don't have to make a boycott. If the opponent sucks and you know the fight is gonna be boring as hell, it will just sell less naturally. But May is popular enough that he'll always make good money. Ricky Hatton could come out of retirement again and fight May and people would still watch it. Sad but true.
