Mayweather said broner picked maidana and he made a mistake in doing so. That's false. Floyd's just trying to blame anyone but al haymon.

Richard Schaefer pushed for the broner-maidana fight. They wanted to build broner as a cash cow and thought he would beat chino.

Chino was also broners mandatory.

I'm not sure Haymon and other people in Broner's team were so eager to fight Chino. Who was really eager was Chino's team and GBP. The real question is why is AB trying to fight at 147? There are a ton of fights available at 130/135/140 in a division he would dominate, and with his star potential (read: hatred that everybody has for him)... he would make some good dough.

I very rarely say that of a fighter, but Broner is a complete idiot. Whatever goes out of his mouth doesn't have any credibility in my opinion. Above all, he is a very average boxer.

He isn't an average boxer, he is very talented its just he lacks depth to his fight game.

When Broner was down at 130/135lbs he had a massive weight advantage at times, he looked like a monster compared to the guys he was fighting but now at 147lbs we only now get to see how not special he is but regardless of that he is a talented fighter he just so happened to of came across Maidana a man who crushes American hype.

Maidana becomes a higher earning headliner and his name is "bigger".

He becomes a legit fight for floyd-thus giving GBP another option than Khan, which everyone criticized.

Makes the broner/maidana rematch huge. Makes the matts/maidana fight bigger.

Might make broner go to 140 or 135 where there are better fights.

Gives khan time to get credible wins and earn a floyd fight.
