BUTE is a better boxer,he is a skilled fighter with heart and can punch with both hands but his weak chin give his opponents the chance to win;with a iron chin BUTE should have been invincible for real!!!

bute wins easily!!! - the chin of his is a small worry but i dont think pascal has the footwork to get into position to land it. bute will turn him and land is body shots when pascal lunges forward.

bute a wide points decision or a mid round stoppage

Everything points to a Pascal win for me. Bute has been out of the ring for a long time, he was out with injury too.

Odds are close at the bookies. I'll wait for weigh-in like i did for ruslan-Alvarado .

seen them both fight lots. the first Andrade fight showed us what bute really is. he is a great offensive fighter with fast hands & high activity rate but if a guy puts pressure on & walks through his punches he can be taken out. he has no plan B. he's only been hurt twice in all the fights I've seen. he got knocked out by froch & got a gift from marlon wright in the first Andrade fight. pascal has a pretty solid chin & he can crack. his inactivity could be an issue but I hope it's not. this is close & I could see bute winning an easy decision but if he gets caught dropping them hands when he's in control of a fight (which often does to showboat)he could end up on his back. pascal is strong & sturdy. he is one of bute 's toughest opponents to date...great matchup!

Bute looked so Fragile against Grachev. I think hes finished and once Pascal lands a big shot he will fall apart.

Thing is I never saw Pascal of all that much of a ****er - putting Hopkins down seems to have earned him this reputation (although IMO he never actually hurt him), but he's never scored a KO against a reasonable opponent. He is a decent fighter, but really his only really significant win was against an incredibly lacklustre Dawson - and even then he was probably lucky the butt came when it did.

Diaconu - meh he was OK (sorry MDP) - but had basically been built up fighting very average opponents in his backyard.

Bute, though, has shown up very considerable vulnerabilities - most obviously vs Froch - against guys that'll come at him and put him under pressure.

Thing is, I'm not sure that's what Pascal will bring - if he's able and willing to engage with Bute and walk him down I do see the likelihood of a Pascal stoppage:- Butes lack of activity and the poor performance against Grachev do count against him.

If Bute is able to box with some of his old authority, though, I see him outboxing and hurting Pascal, possibly to a late stoppage but more likely to a UD win.

Kinda pick em for me cos it depends so much on which Bute turns up, but assuming he's on decent form after his injury and lay-off I'm going for the Bute UD.

Bernard Hopkins: "You a FOUR ROUND fighter!!"

Jean Pascal: "That's not what I said."

Bernard Hopkins: "That's what you DID!"

I don't mind... True: Bute and Diaconu are my compatriots -- but I'm not going to jump in and and play the nationalistic fanboy part... I'm too old for that...
