Lmao @ 4 million ppv's sold for the Silva vs Weidman 2 fight. My arse did it do double than Mayweather vs Canelo. Take note Silva made a guaranteed $600,000 to show up and Weidman made $400,000 for showing up and winning, Mayweather made close to $42 million guaranteed just to show up without sponsors or ppv revenue even Canelo made over $10 million. Looking at the purses you can see the 4 million number is bull****.Last edited by chocolate; 01-01-2014, 11:06 AM.Comment

I haven't ever purchased a UFC but I've seen quite a few. Plus, many more bars pay for UFC events than they do boxing events due to the buying structure imposed by each organization. Boxing costs much more to put on in a public arena for some reason. These bars just pay for one PPV and show it on like 10 TV's. Boxing charges per TV or something so the bars say forget that.Comment

Based on trends word is Silva vs Weidman bombed and is estimated to be around 600k ppv buys. It's also just come out that Silva vs Gus did a mere 310k buys, that's right, the UFC's next big superstar gets lower PPV buys than Tim Bradley. Hendricks vs GSP was also down graded to 600k. The UFC's HW champ is also no better with his last fight doing just 300k ppv buys.Comment

Bars pay per seating capacity. The UFC used to have cheaper deals but they boosted the cost and many bars cut them since it's not affordable. They are doing the same thing boxing does.I haven't ever purchased a UFC but I've seen quite a few.
