Potential threats to W.Klitschko (multiple choice)

    I have :

Odlanier Solis : excellent technician, very nice foot work, fast hands and decent power

Mike Perez : excellent technician, very fast hands and very awkward southpaw

Kubrat Pulev : I still can't figure out a fight between him and Wladimir Klitschko

Tyson Fury : very big heavyweight, nice Combos, nice footwork and agressive.

    Others worth mentioning :

Lucas Browne : underrated Speed and agressive but still Needs to improve technically

Deontay alias " the cab driver beater" Wilder's straight right hand

Solis - has ability to possibly make it competitive but is likely to still be out of shape, and is probably too small for Wlad. TKO 8 Klitschko

Perez - good all round fighter, but an unknown quantity because he hasn't fought known competition much as of yet. TKO 11 or UD Klitschko

Pulev - skilled, big heavyweight but lack of power or blazing speed and potentially questionable chin means he probably doesn't have enough to beat Wlad but its competitive, UD Klitschko.

Fury - he can definitely make it an uncomfortable night for Wlad by trying to rough him up on the inside and he would have the reach and height advantages but I think Wlad deals with him eventually, sort of like the Wach fight except Fury doesn't have a steel chin, probably causes Wlad a few problems but Wlad catches him and drops him possibly a few times, and wins by KO between 4-8th rounds.

Browne - no chance IMO, ok he's decent and has some power but Wlad will break him down with the jab and knocks him out within 7 rounds.

Wilder - can also make it uncomfortable for Wlad due to his size and reach and power but Wlad I think has his number from sparring and Deontay doesn't have a plan B if the power doesn't work so I think he might be competitive but Wlad's superior jab, experience and all round defensive game together with his power overwhelms Deontay and he wins by KO within 10 or 11.

Nice insight, thank you for this, but when it Comes to Wlad's defensive game :

      - How does he deal with Jabs ?
      - How does he deal with Straight right Hands?
      - How may Wladimir control fighters such as Fury with his Jab?

I guess we may see some new from Wlad's ( underrated) Arsenal. I have the Feeling that he is extremely talented but doesn#t want to let the punches go becuase of his previous losses.

The only one who might give him a good fight is Kubrat Pulev.

The thing is, you may notice that he rarely even gets hit by jabs and I think this is for several reasons, it seems each opponent waits for Wlad to engage, they do not really take the initiative and attack, and as soon as they delay Wlad begins his own jab, once this gets into a rhythm there is no way back, it's like being hit with a telephone pole and often the opponent is still dazed or recovering and doesn't even have the ability to jab back as quickly as Wlad does. As such, Wlad rarely has to backpedal (Vitali however is excellent at this as we know, when fighting pressure fighters like Arreola).

Straight rights, again, as the opponent is often backpedalling they cannot really get much pop on their power shots and it doesn't really affect Wlad, and after they are beaten for several rounds these shots lose even more effectiveness due to fatigue etc. And in terms of controlling Fury with the jab, Fury leaves himself open a lot of the time, he doesn't mind doing his defensive work with his chin (hence him being dropped by seemingly weak punchers), of course this would be a grave error v Wlad as each jab will hurt him, slow him down and eventually knock him out. As I say, i'd envision it being similar to the Wach fight.

            Hard to disagree with this.

I guess Pulev will take the initiative. Wlad has a lot of different jabs though. But then again, Pulev vs Klitschko is a complete enigma to me and I am really eager to watch this fight. I hope Wlad gets done with Leapai as soon as possible ( though he should never underestimate Leapai's puncher's chance) to finally watch some amazing potential fights.

Wladimir Klitschko vs Pulev/Fury/Perez/Wilder are fights I really wanna watch.

Yeah, me too brother! Should be good to watch for the fans and improve Wlad's resume. I think Wlad is one of those unique champs that doesn't ever underestimate anyone, he trains hard for each and every opponent and takes his craft as professionally as possible, this is why he is a great ambassador for the sport. However, I don't really see how Leapai can trouble him, if he has lost by KO to Kevin Johnson! and beaten a horribly overhyped Boytsov. It could potentially be a good fight for him also in terms of exposure to some new locales, such as in Asia or Pacific, if the fight does end up being held there.

In relation to Pulev, I dunno, he looks good against his opponents but not good in contrast to Wladimir, he is technically skilled and is in good shape, motivated and all that, but he doesn't have that x factor you need to beat a champ like Wlad, for sure he can make it competitive but I think Wlad is just a little stronger in every department which can be the big difference in sport.

                  BTW, Happy New Year!

Leapai is closer to landing a right hand on a Klitschko brother than any of the rest of us could hope to be.
