Why does Martinez have to be less than 100% for Cotto to win?

Thing is, Martinez is not as good as some believe he is. What are his best wins? A victory over Pavlik who was struggling with alcohol addiction? Over weeded up version of Chavez Jr that as soon as he let his hands go battered Sergio around the ring like a ragdoll? Or was it against PWill who while good was as vulnerable a fighter as you could find and struggled against Ishida. In fact, Chavez Jr beats Martinez in a rematch if he lets his hands go from the opening bell.
Cotto's resume and opposition are far better. Cotto will hurt Martinez and beat him via UD. Whether he is 500% percent or a 100%.
Martinez's recent level of opposition hasn't been bad actually: Pavlik (lineal champion), Chavez Jr, P. WilliamsX2, Dzinziruk, Barker, Murray, Macklin,... most of these guys are at least 6'0 and over 170 pounds on fight night (Pavlik 178 & Chavez 185). I don't think any current 154 pounders could go through that list of opponents the way Sergio did when he moved up in weight.Comment

For me nope, I didn't like his performace in the clottey fight at all. He was very impress against Quintana but I was more impress with him in the Judah fight because he was an experienced, speedy and season fighter that night.Comment
