Middleweight contender Marco Antonio Rubio (58-6-1, 50KOs) says the third time is the charm to capture the WBC championship. Rubio failed to capture the belt in 2009, when he was stopped by Kelly Pavlik. He then got a second chance in 2012, when he lost a twelve round decision to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Now the WBC has ordered Rubio and Italian boxer Domenico Spada to fight for the interim-title of their organization.
