Comments Thread For: Peter Fury: No Heavyweight Like Hughie Fury in Boxing

London - Hughie Lewis Fury is "not hanging around" and is "upping his game" in 2014.

The 19-year-old heavyweight prospect has had a busy first nine months as a professional and is aiming at “all the top domestic fighters” next year, says his father and trainer Peter Fury.

“His first year as a professional is up at the end of March and already had 12 fights, won all 12 with seven knockouts and next year we’ll be looking at all the top domestic fighters," Peter said. [Click Here To Read More]

He's a far better boxer than Joshua IMO but Joshua looks the part more with his physique. I like both guys and hopefully they meet at some point

With Joseph Parker in the equation as well the future looks quite good at H/W.

are you referring to that AJ carter fellow? i haven't seen him fight yet. he's only got 4 or 5 so far i believe. there are a few HW prospects i haven't seen yet.

still not sure what to think of Hughie yet. still too early & he hasn't been tested yet. they have been matching him with euro-trial horses & he has done well. let's see him fight McDermott or tom dallas next. he is still growing so i'm interested to see what kind of power he will develop as he fills out. he is only 19 so there is room for added strength. it's hard to judge a guy when he is that young. i doubt he will ever have one punch knockout power. that is god given for the most part...

                You are 100% correct.

I see a talented future champion in Anthony Joshua, but Hughie appears ordinary and will likely become only a fringe contender.

i have only seen him maybe twice but from what i saw the kid has skills. The kid can box i would not be surprised if he turns into a world champion before tyson
