This fight does seem pointless, at least for Pacquiao. He has everything to lose and nothing to gain. This Is not a knock against Provodnikov, but what does a win for Pacquiao due to elevate his status?

That would have been the best way for him to end his career. Unfortunately, he Is In such a financial crisis It looks like It's going to take more than one Mayweather fight to get back on his feet and be able to retire comfortably.

Arum has a one-fight option on Provodnikov, probably doesn't want his Top Rank fighters Rios, Bradley and Alvarado to lose to him. Maybe wants to feed him to Pacquiao instead. Who knows.

Provo is gassy as hell, and Pacquiao's punches were apparently cutting him up (literally) in sparring, he had to wear a special headguard.

This fight is fairly pointless imo.

The Prov Bradley fight should have showed that Prov simply is a higher level fighter than the current declined Manny. Prov should have stopped Bradley like 4 times over and put him on his ass forcing Timmy to wait out the bell, basically being saved by the bell. Manny was a guy that let pillow fisted Bradley break his will and determination, a guy that ran away from a Bradley rematch while Prov made Bradley one of his Jr's.........

This is simply a fight meant to ruin Manny before his contract is up years end, keeping him away from Mayweather, you are blind if you deny this. It is also one of boxings unofficial rules not to face sparring partners they know your speed, power, habits and bad tendencies. But the problem with your previous post is, you used Manny as a means to build the Bradley fight up even more.

#1. Pac is Pac, no need to build up anything.

#2. Bradley only slugged it out with Prov to prove the doubters wrong, and prove something to himself. 9/10 times, he outboxes the breaks off of Prov.

#3. He just beat JMM. Just got enough exposure, where we don't have to go through 2 fights, to see the one that really means something.

So your telling me the guy who gave bradley hell and just beat the dog **** out of Alvarado gets dismantled in four rounds ? Sure his style is suited to compliment pacs but come he's a tremendous puncher who's worked with PAC before so he knows some of his game. I'd say he(Provo) hits harder then rios and his faster to with better skills if rios can land and stick around twelve rounds and hurt PAC then Provo should be able to do the same or much better. And actually test pacs chin. His two best shots are the one PAC got put to sleep with and he's got a cold left hook with a good chin and he's strong and hungry I can't believe people are so quick to write this guy off is he some elite fighter killer no but he's shown he's a good test.

Its just Manny fans nervousness about this fight, they all seen how Bradley on Broke legs brought it to Manny and broke his will and determination to a degree, they also saw how a untested Prov outside of his weight division, made Timmy his bytch.....

Bradley's not chicken ****. He's grade A, 100%, lean chicken. The fight would be chicken salad.

I don't know man. In the rounds he won, he DOMINATED, and wasn't even touched. That's a clear indication that he can do such things.
