    Not surprising at all.

He'll hold the ring title regardless, which is way more prestigious than the green belt.

You can love or hate floyd, but you cant defend him anymore. He clearly wants no part of pacquiao.

And I'm sure people will take the "I don't wanna do business with Arum" excuse seriously. What a clown.

The WBC mandated that he drop either the 154 lb title or the 147 lb title. As such, why would dropping either be seen as indicative of not wanting to fight a particular fighter, especially when he would retain the lineal title in each weight.

But but Floyd is not a 154lb fighter...

So why not drop the belt from the division "he doesn't belong in"?

Mayweather's afraid of a guy that lost 2 of his last 3 fights, and that's been KO'd a grand total of 3 times? The guy in that video is talking as if Pacquiao wasn't absolutely ruined two fights ago? The fact that the WBC would even rank a guy on a losing streak is laughable but even more comical is this idea that because Manny's ranked he gets a shot and somehow all the politics that surrounded a potential fight with Mayweather previous to his ranking magically disappear. That's right, Arum, Schaefer, Haymon and Mayweather couldn't get the deal done, now enters the mystical fairies from the WBC to clear everything up with an underserved ranking.

And if Mayweather gives up the belt because he's been backed into a corner by Pac's ridiculous ranking, he's obviously terrified of a guy that was put so deep into a coma, you could have put him on a space mission to the outer Milky Way Galaxy, heh, yeah right.....

Floyd knew if the WBC ordered a purse bid his broke ass would have no chance vs Arum.

Has he officially dropped the belt yet? Or is this a case of NSB poster over reaction sorta like the Khan fight which han't been signed yet?

Good question. I don't know why floyd would choose to keep the 154lb title and not the 147 lb title, if he has actually made that choice.
