Khan smartly promoted himself at Bradley's expense.

The idea that Bradley "ducked" Khan to instead fight Pacquiao doesn't make a lick of sense because Pacquiao was the tougher, more dangerous fighter at the time.

Marquez wasn't washed up either, the third and fourth fights with Pacquiao proved it even if you think Marquez' wins over Diaz and Katsidis didn't.
Garcia, Lucas, Khan were the only real names at 140 worth fighting, Bradely had unfinished business at 140, he took the payday and won via dodgy decision. Although i will say Tim is a better fighter now than he was when he first faced Pac.

JMM has been washed up, just for some reason he has Pac mans card marked, styles do make fights and when you have fought the same guy over and over again, he tends to pick up things which other boxers dont see in u, such as Pacs feint. I hope to never see Pac man fight JMM again.

Pac needs to get this Bradely fight over with and get with Al and Golden Boy, make some money, entertain us and retire with some dignity.

But oddly enough Pac's fans see past this and only see Mayweather obstruction, even to the point Mayweather the man is degraded in vulgar, oftentimes racial terms.

degrading vulgar racial terms coming from a boxing superstar as against anonymous internet posters.

no amount of negative opinion on pac from you as a poster can top what the video contains.

Pac will probably never try to fight any of FLoyd's last two opponents.

Dude other than Floyd there's not a proven welter in the GBP camp. They are all blown up, mostly hypejobs: loser Ortiz, "4 division, 6 time champ" Guerrero, feeble Paulie (destroyed by "washed up" Hatton in his prime), Broner lol, Alexander, Khan etc. Thurman is a good prospect, but he's yet to score 1 top 10 win. Bradley runs rings around these dudes.

I do hope Pac drops his adviser and does not sign with Top Rank and becomes free agent. I know he would make a lot more money with Al Haymon.

Danny Garcia was a nobody when Bradley was fighting at 140. For some perspective, the title Garcia lifted from Erik Morales was originally a title that was prematurely stripped from Tim Bradley (aka Tim never lost his 140 title in a fight). Lucas Matthysse was relevant in the division but he had lost to Judah when Bradley fought Alexander, and then he lost to Alexander so it's not like there was anywhere near the hype around him that people hve today. You're kidding yourself if you think those two guys were bigger names than Peterson and Alexander when Bradley fought those guys.

Again, what makes JMM washed up? The fact that he's old? His Mayweather loss is sandwiched with two wins over Juan Diaz and he also picked a win up over Michael Katsidis, Marquez was unquestionably the best at lightweight before he moved up for the third fight. "Styles make fights" but JMM didn't look washed up in the third or fourth fight. He didn't look great against Bradley but that's in large part due to Tim's tactics in the fight.

Pacquiao is never going to sign with Golden Boy or Al Haymon, he'll be retired by the end of 2015 mark my words.

My language is irrelevant I hope, I mean my goodness, you aren't the first poster at NSB to point this out. I'm not doing anything irregular or over the top, I'm using diction I barely learned in grade school, nothing more, I'm not even really trying and its "flowery?" Dear God the educational system has failed us.

As to your post, I have made the point on several occasions that what's happening to Manny is an all too familiar occurrence in boxing. Prize fighters that earn exorbitant amounts of cash end up flat broke, from poor choices, to bad company, to just plain old bad luck. So I'm not arguing against that, my point was that Manny seems to be just sitting and looking at the train barreling towards him and he isn't flinching. Yeah he's broke, but with a little trash talk to Mayweather, a few antics in the social media and Manny could/would be well on his way to financial solvency.

Heh, he's terrible at **** talking, but surely there must be someone in his camp that talks **** and that's "Twitter" literate, right?

My opinion may come across as negative concerning Manny but is it true what I'm trying to get at? As to the video, its racist, ****phobic, petty, and shows a side of Floyd that should be brought to task. Floyd doesn't get a pass simply because I think he's an amazing boxer. That video reduces Floyd to the size of an ant, he may not think so but I despise a lot of who Mayweather is as a person, I can't support behavior like this. Why would you go to someone's ethnicity if you're trying to get a fight with him? Disgusting. And equally disgusting is the fervor launched back at him, and this video doesn't justify it.

I lost a lot of respect for Floyd when I saw that video originally, and similarly I have zero respect for fans who freely traffic in racism. The point gets lost in all that, there is a point and a fight we want to happen.

As a fan of the sport I don't look at his seeming lack of interest as virtuous, not when I think he's been bequeathed these aspects by his brain dead army. His singular lack of forceful interest in the fight makes me believe one of two things. Either Manny is developmentally disabled "DD" (I mean this honestly), or he's so indebted to Arum he'll have to fight under contract until the end of time. Given Manny's lifestyle, I'd say the latter is probably true, but if it is, it wouldn't be dissimilar from being a full blown ******.

Fans are trying to carefully keep score about who said what as if a statement made by either camp can be taken seriously. I see the stuff in the media as mere distractions from the reality that Manny can't fight whomever he wants, not as long as he's under contract with Bob Arum. But what makes this situation all the more grim is the fact that Manny displays very little in the way of a personality or will. Freddie Roach's contention that Manny would end up broke came to pass, its real and its here.

I find it strange that Pacquiao doesn't behave like a man that's in need of a different promoter, or that has money or personal issues. Time after time Bob Arum is dismissed by the Pacquiao obsessed as essentially a bit player and not the man holding all of the strings. It means something that Bob Arum is Manny's boss, just like it would mean something if he fought for GB. What it means in this instance is that Arum is going to play whatever hand he has and he isn't going to look back. Truth is, Bob knows he doesn't need to do much to incite hatred on Mayweather and distract from himself. So we're left with Pac the zombie.....
great post and so true but the haters rather blame for for everything rather than hold Manny accountable for anything. the blind hate is breathtaking as you stated.

The haters see what they want to, they'll come here to NSB with bluster and irrational hatred directed at Floyd, all the while they will completely dismiss or explain away any competing ideas.

The fact is Bob Arum controls all aspects of Manny Pacquiao, some fans may not want to believe it, but I think Manny's bank ledgers say differently. Manny has taken the passive approach to managing his career and that suits his boss just fine, because when one of his fighters speak out like De La Hoya and Mayweather did, you ultimately break away and become unspeakably rich.

It might be too late anyway, Manny's spent too much time roaming the countryside looking for brains......
