Listen, if you weren't impressed by Lara in the Angulo fight then there's something wrong with you. Whether he looked average or not how many guys do you know get up from two HARD KDs and come back to make their opponent quit? Not just any opponent. An opponent as tough as nail such as Angulo. That was some Chico type **** mah dude.

I was also impressed by the amount of lefts Angulo took but he ****ed it all away by quitting.

read the title of this thread. do it slowly if you need to.
I'm well aware of the title and it doesn't necessarily mean I agree with it. But I'm also well aware of what I bolded. One person =!= disproportionate.

the thread says "lara is unbeatable at 154," which is bogus. anybody who thinks that way hasn't seen him fight enough.

he's a good fighter, but he gets a disproportionate amount of support around here because he's an underdog.

and i'm an ex something, but it's not a trainer or fighter. you can PM me if you'd like. i won't bore you with detail, but i'll tell you a bit about my background.
Nobody is unbeatable not even floyd, arguably he already loss to castillo and I think Lara have more detractors than fans, although he has gain some support since his war against perro and now the trout schooling, they don't realize what these Cuban athletes go through, any other athlete in the World buy a plane tickect and he/she is in USA soil, the Cuban have to build a raft or convert an automobil into a boat, leave all their family behind and hope for the best and they don't come here as teenagers, they decide this almost in their twilight of their careers because as teenagers thay are afraid, so we should praise these athletes instead of all the hate they receiving because, if their promoters use the human factor as a promotion tool every casual fan will fall in love with these Cubans, as americans we love the underdog story...

Actually, I thought he would gain more fans after Angulo but instead I think he got more haters. He made a Mexican quit and they were butthurt about it.

[QUOTE=Queen_Leia;14075949]I don't know but his style just seems that it would neutralize anyone at 154...

How would he do against the champs of the division? Can he beat any of the below champs?

              1. Demetrius Andrade
              2. Carlos Molina
              3. Floyd Mayweather

Here are the other fighter of 154, how would he do?

              James Kirkland

James Kirkland trained by sweet Anne Wolf will ravage his azzzzz and knock him out.

James Kirkland 100 percent with Ann Wolf destroys anyone in the 154's including little may Jr and I would love to see that fight, but we all know that won't happen. James would have to be on his death bed for that fight to happen.

but I think Kirkland wins the lara fight

Molina did beat him on my scorecard and he has a good chance of doing it officially in a rematch. Besides him, I think Floyd would beat him pretty comfortably. Canelo loses if he fights the same as usual, but if he makes tactical adjustments he has a solid chance.

And Lara doesn't like all out aggressive fighters so a Kirkland fight would be interesting.

Lara started at 160, matter of fact he fought Tommy Hearns' son at 160 last year.

But he was also calling out Ortiz-Berto winner at 147, that was back then tho. I think he's in his natural weight class now. Even tho everyone he fights is bigger than him.
