    It's a shame how kids today are paying so much attention to fighters like mayweather and broner, and completely ignoring fighters like Ward and Pacquiao who set a great example on how to be a man.

    Take care of your family, Act for your family, be loyal to them, dedicate yourself to a worthy cause, give it your soul, and don't let anyone think that you can't stand with the greatest.

    What can be greater than that?
    Agreed. He always comes across as a well rounded nice guy. Very knowledgable and articulate about his sport, Andre Ward one of boxings great ambassadors. Having said that though I'm not a fan of his style in the ring. Just my opinion but I'm not a fan of the head butt, hold, spoil, cheap shot, ala bhop, rough house but get the W school of boxing.

      [QUOTE=face untouched;14073278]Preach..

      Thats why I say Ward should have went down a different road as far as promoting himself goes. The dude is in his 30s and number two P4P and is still relatively unknown other than his own hood. He calls guys like Floyd ignorant and brash and is quick to judge others but he wishes he had came up like that so he could have the positives that come with that ****y attitude. Boxing and its fans are built up on a racial premise anyway so for him to cater to the "good guys" while being a black American was not a good idea from the getgo. He should be the villain. He's one of the so called humble guys in boxing yet they all want to see him knocked out[/

      Attitudes and ideas like yours hold people back. You say boxing is about race. Have you ever boxed? You don't know ****. Please stop disrespecting a sport you know nothing about. Andre Ward is being himself, happy that that doesn't cater to your idea of a what he should be. Ward is someone you could learn from. Grow up.

        Andre Wad does seem like a guy who could have a clean, successful career as a Boxer, and Olympian to boost and go into Politics with his clean cut and persona.

        But there is a a slight undertone of arrogance underneath all that. It's like he is dying to let his inner ego come out but he stops himself because he is well aware of what he can be if he just plays it by the book.
