Sure, he's not the best in the world but he's leagues above Cotto in terms of stamina. He usually gets tired during the middle rounds but he improves dramatically during the final rounds, that's the reason why he's usually more dangerous during rounds 9-12 than during the first rounds. Against Pavlik he got tired and then beat him up during the last rounds and against Murray he was able to get the better rounds during the last 3, especially during the 12th when he hurt Murray.

Cotto usually gets tired and that's it, he's going to get beat up. If a fight between Cotto and Martínez gets past round 8 then Cotto is in deep trouble at least IMO.

Smart Fighters Pace themselves, and take Rounds Off now and then.
When Bouts were 15 RDS, "The Second Wind", was more of an issue....

Sergio does do this, it's very true. But again he is 39 years old and his legs are breaking down... This is why this fight is intriguing, Cotto looked different in his last fight. Yes, it was against an easier opponent than Trout but if you compare Cotto to himself there is a big difference, just physically even. Cotto looked slower, bloated and old against Trout but fresh, sharp and strong against Delvin. In the first two rounds that has nothing to do with the opponent it's physical as well as mental.

I like Sergio, but Cotto's the draw and the money maker. It is what it is. However, I can't really make a prediction on the outcome of this fight simply because I have no idea how much Sergio has left. Unfortunately, I feel that the only way Cotto has a realistic shot of winning is if Sergio is just too ****** up and old. Cotto doesn't belong at MW, and I've personally never liked Cotto's chances against Martinez anyway. Keep in mind, Miguel is my favorite fighter.

Sergio, why are you making this more painful? King Cotto is going to break you down eary with body work, he will crush your nose with his piston like power jab, hou will not be able to breathe.

I know, you will try and fight on the back foot, but King Cotto is a master at cutting the ring and he will catch you and make you pay.

You will try and brawl and that will be seal your fate. King Cotto will let you feel his Left hook, and you will kiss the canvas.

You will get up, try to clinch...King Cotto's ring generalship and superior foot work will fool you, he will hit you with angles and thunderous speed. His combos will hurt you, and he will finish you up with a deadly three punch combo and you will not beat the count.....7, 8, 9, 10....and the New MW Champion of the World...Miguel Angel "The King Coottooooo!!!!
