Cotto is a family man. Dont you see how he carries his whole family (mother included) with him? That was the primary reason he broke with Diaz! His family wanted to go back to Orlando and Cotto said OK, Diaz wanted Cotto to stay and train PROPERLY, but they bumped heads when Diaz told him that Cotto was to act like a professional and train, not to follow what his family wanted during the training cycle. That did not go well and you know the rest.

Cotto DID NOT try to kill his uncle with a brick. His uncle threw a brick at Cotto's car, after Cotto walked away when his uncle got on his face! Then, Cotto confronted his uncle and his uncle threw the FIRST punch, and Cotto defended himself and landed left hook to the body (lol), ending the threat.

The law suit with his uncle was NOT due to the scuffle, it was due to contractual earnings since his uncle had royalties since he was "on paper" to be Miguel's trainer, no Santiago or late Emanuel.

I have people from the island telling me the guy is a jerk, and it makes sense. I went to a juanma fight about 4 years ago, Tito and Cotto were introduced to the crowd after the co main event. Tito was celebrated like a king, Cotto got a golf clap. Cotto while being an honorable warrior in the ring is an egotistical jerk outside of it, that more then anything is grinding Sergio's gears. Calling Cotto a PPV king is pretty silly. King implies he is the top draw, which he isn't. I think it's even funnier that a poster calked him king and cited cable Television numbers. I think that's thd dumbest post I have ever read on here

I'm semi on-board with this. Cotto is a great fighter, and I'm a big fan of his inside the ring. I'm not a big fan of his personality at all, though. He seems to have plenty of arrogance.
