Cotto is a family man. Dont you see how he carries his whole family (mother included) with him? That was the primary reason he broke with Diaz! His family wanted to go back to Orlando and Cotto said OK, Diaz wanted Cotto to stay and train PROPERLY, but they bumped heads when Diaz told him that Cotto was to act like a professional and train, not to follow what his family wanted during the training cycle. That did not go well and you know the rest.
Cotto DID NOT try to kill his uncle with a brick. His uncle threw a brick at Cotto's car, after Cotto walked away when his uncle got on his face! Then, Cotto confronted his uncle and his uncle threw the FIRST punch, and Cotto defended himself and landed left hook to the body (lol), ending the threat.
The law suit with his uncle was NOT due to the scuffle, it was due to contractual earnings since his uncle had royalties since he was "on paper" to be Miguel's trainer, no Santiago or late Emanuel.
