I say, just let them gear the entire thing towards Cotto. He's still getting TV exposure, a name on his resume, and a big payday. What's there to complain about?
Hey, great point! That is what Trout did vs. Miguel (even know there were quite of bit of distractions during Cotto's training camp).

Or you could tell Martinez to fight the biggest threat in his own division.... then again, he is not a 154 pounder coming off huge wars where he's taken serious damage.

Martinez is a clown coward, all manly with demands to a 154 pounder but dead scared of the beast at his own weight class; Gennady "Triple G" Golovkin.
You make a valid point. You can look at it two ways. One, if you were in Sergio's position and the other if you weren't. If I was Sergio, I would want to hold my ground too and demand my respect, but then again, I wouldn't want to lose a big payday. You're simply looking at it from the outside in. Ultimately, I think, Sergio will submit to Cotto's demands, cause honestly, his days of fighting the top guys are over. I'm not sure he can be in another war against a young big 160 pounder.

Either way, I'm still rooting for Cotto, cause he's always exciting.

        WAR COTTO!!!

cotto had no problem giving away the billing to challengers pacquiao and mayweather...why can't martinez do the same?

Or just take Quillin like GBP offered. He has plenty of options.

Correct. If I was in Martinez position, my ego would definitely come in conflict with the terms. It's human competitive nature I guess. I understand that and it is a very valid point.

Then you look at the circumstances of the fight... Cotto is COMING up to your division, one of the top 3 most recognizable names in the sport to make a career high payday PPV with you. You just have to play along, you know what I mean. Plus, Cotto's name on TOP catches the eye more than Martinez will.

              Hell yes, War COTTO!!

Cotto is just as thirsty for this fight as Sergio.
