Comments Thread For: Froch Rejects Groves: Did He Give DeGale a Rematch!

Carl Froch has clearly took far too many blows to the head, does he really not understand that both Groves and DeGale at the time of that fight were both prospects, upcoming talent trying to make a name for themselves and it was a rivalry (Neither of the two like each other) what sense is there so early in a career giving a pointless rematch,
If DeGale lost twice in a row what does that do for him?
NOTHING!!
Their is no financial gain either as both fighters were fairly unknown across state side and still their isn't much interest in both fighters on a wide spread, it only made sense that both tried to gain a world title THEN fight again by then If that happened both would be recognized and their would be more cash in it.
Carl Froch is a wiry little worm when it comes to making excuses, its indeed him who is the immature one!
Nearly 37years old and he contradicts himself at every turn!

If froch doesn't accept this fight it shows he has no regard for legacy. This is a guy who has constantly undermined and disrespected other fighters and yet has made a career on the back of questionable decisions.
It's difficult to respect froch. He's a warrior but that's the only kudos he deserves.Last edited by GG Magic; 12-26-2013, 08:51 AM.

The guy is a complete hypocrite born from the Hayemaker school of smoke and mirrors. He was the only one getting "bashed up" when the stoppage happened.Froch is definitely searching for a payday. He knows his boxing days are numbered.

Who the hell wanted to see a DeGale re-match? Whereas the whole boxing community (and casual fans) want Froch-Groves 2 because the first one was so good.
Hey, I understand why Carl doesn't want it. It was a brutal fight, and Groves is a very dangerous, improving fighter while Froch is clearly declining.
However, I don't understand why fanboys on here are making excuses for him. Call it for what it is - a fight Carl would rather do without. Even though it's the biggest money fight. Mayweather gets called out on this all day but it's OK for Froch not to take this fight because of karma or whatever the ****.
Again, people letting their pettiness get in the way of the principal objective of matchmaking (from a fan's perspective) - would it be a great fight?.
Yes. And not only that, but it would be the biggest money fight for Froch too.
Again, I understand why he would not want this fight but let's us as fans keep it real.

Damn Froch, thats some ***** ****znik if I ever heard it. While after watching the fight a few times, I do think Grove was getting tagged cleanly on the beard and Froch could have stopped, the truth is the ref stepped in early. Froch knows it and he know if he fights him again, that overhand right will be waiting for him. He not the type of fighter to get away from that punch. By Froch's logic, Ward doesnt owe him a rematch either.

Groves or Calzaghe didn't take a schooling and a beating for 8 rounds before being saved by an incompetent ref.
Groves or Calzaghe never implied they wanted a rematch in the post fight interview just to get a cheer.
The reason why Froch won't give Groves a rematch is because he knows he will get beat.
