REALLY...So his management team was okay with 150 knowing that he had hard time making 54??? Instead Mayweather gave him 2 lbs...His lucky Floyd didn't make him come 147

As for Mayweather, I don't agree that he deserves the title. Honestly, he has not challenged himself at all, in a long time. He is never in a fight where people wonder who will win. He is always the favorite and for good reason, too. Mayweather takes on opponents he knows he will dominate and avoids fights he knows are risky. Mayweather is afraid to loose and he is not fighting elite level P4P #1 caliber fighters.

Guerrero and Canelo are solid wins for an up an comer like Danny Garcia, but not for an elite level fighter like Mayweather. He must be held to a higher standard, since he makes the money and since he is P4P #1. The fans call for fights against Pacquiao, Martinez, and Lara. These are opponents with great skills and who threaten Mayweather's undefeated record.

Instead, Mayweather rejects the call toward true greatness and, instead, takes easy fights. He is rumoured to be fighting Khan in May 2014. Mayweather must be held to a higher standard. In part, he is correct, when he mockingly says he has the best team in boxing if he can fight bums and still make the kind of money he makes. It is an insult to boxing fans, when he says these things. He talks about being a bank robber, too. This bank robber analogy alludes to the fact that he is stealing people's money with the fights he gives them and the quality of opponents he faces. Mayweather must be held to a higher standard.

You can also make an argument that Canelo was not that impressive. Sure he beat Trout but did he really, besides when you have the whole Texas commission, open scoring and three corrupt judges on your side, it kind of forces the other fighter to change tactics. I am willing to say that Lara will beat Canelo just as easily or at least hurt him more then Mayweather did. I say the light heavies with 4 Ko's is more impressive then fighting twice a year.

FOTY awards will never go to fighters who duck smaller fighters than themselves who they are favourite against. Who choose to fight guys at CW who have no resumes like Canelo and Guerrero who are p4p no 25+ in the world instead.

Rios and Guerrero are p4p about the same, but Pac fought RIos after a brutal ko.

You can't win this by carefully selecting a couple sure wins. My word, he outpointed a featherweight again.
