  • Floy Mayweather . deserves to be Fighter of the Year

For his two impressive wins this year over Guerrero and Saul Alvarez, Floyd Mayweather. (45-0, 26 KO’s) clearly deserves to get the 2013 Fighter of the Year award. Mayweather’s only competition is Adonis Steveson, who stopped Dawson, Tavoris Cloud and Tony Bellew. Those were all good wins, but the quality of opposition wasn’t as good as Mayweather’s
The way that Floy Mayweather turned Saul Alvarez into a very average looking fighter. It was very impressive to watch because no one has ever done that before to Saul Alvarez, and it’s quite possible that we won’t see anyone else doing that to him until he’s in his late 30s. Saul Alvarez tried hard to catch Floy Mayweather with his big power shots, but he just wasn’t fast or skilled enough to land his punches.

Floyd only deserves it if thee only fighter going against him is Pacman, otherwise no frigin way.

Stevenson, Rigo, and Garcia should all be ahead of Floyd for FOTY...

FOTY..should be Rigo..he schooled a future HOFer and P4p star with ease...remember it was Donaire's first loss in 12 years

A split decision at a catchweight is a definite plus for fighter of the year status.

I disagree by making a catch weight of 152 Floyd was aware Canelo can barley make 154 so he knew he was a zombie at 152 so This prevents him from that honor had he fought and beat him at 154 than you can make a statement on Mayweather for fighter of the year.
