    @takingaim at your first point

    I assume you dont have much knowledge about the tribes within pakistan. as money may said, the people within the north are from tough backgrounds, so they are bound to have raw talent for boxing.

    @takingaim as for your second point ,i am thinking you dont have much knowledge again about the differnet people within pakistan.

    i would care to explain but not now

      This is commendable. I hate on Khan, but good going here. This is the kind of stuff I would do if I had the money.

        There is a difference between a tribe and an ethnicity. All those tribes are Pakistani. Pakistan is not ethnically diverse. It's extremely ****geneous. You can talk about Punjabi people & Pashtuns, but it's culture that sets those two apart, not different genetics.

        An ethnically diverse country is the USA, or Brazil. These two are the most diverse in the world.

          That's awesome. We could expect to see some talent out of there in the next several years.

            Actually that's a pretty much spot on

            Someone on the first page was putting down cricketers but that's complete baloney. In cricket a fast bowler can sprint up to 12km in a game sometimes - just let that figure settle in. 12km!!! Sprinting!!! Footballers clock up to 10-13km in a soccer game but that's a mixture of walking, jogging, running and sprinting.

            Pakistan does have great tradition as well when it comes to fighting and wrestling. Palawan wrestling is very popular in certain parts of the country.

            I think one of the main problems you would encounter though is that it isn't a country which has a boxing background. It is isn't steeped in boxing nous or tradition in the way USA, Mexico, England, Scotland, Wales, Puerto Rico etc all are.

              And that's why it's harder. Constantly starting & stopping makes it harder, because you can never build up a momentum. Football players are some of the best athletes on the planet when it comes to stamina.

                The more global boxing becomes the better. Not sure about Pakistan, but India have produced some decent boxers in the amatuers that i've seen in international tournaments. They also have a history in various different martial arts. I think the toughness is embeded in the people, and with the right training there is certainly a lot of potential. Also, commercially it can be huge.

                  I completely disagree with Takingaim, your opinions are based on a certain dislike of the general race rather than its possible ability to be able to join the sport of boxing and be successful.

                  Your arguments are completely ridiculous and somewhat racist. Any human from any race can become the next best boxer in the world.

                  The stereotypical answers don't make any sense as if to say a Chinese person would be physically weaker than a Black/White person. No human is born with any special ability, they must work to build themselves.

                  I believe that other Asian countries such as Sri Lanka, Afghanistan Etc should also have some sort of boxing facility made available to them so we can have a much more diverse boxing world than just White, Black, Mexican

                    @takingaim

                    I think i may not have put my point as clear as i could.

                    you are right ethincs and tribes are different.

                    but the pashtuns are ethnically more towards the persian dispora. wheras, ethincs such as punjabi are from the indian subcontinent.

                    the tribes which i was referring to, coexist within these ethincs.

                    most but not all the ethnics in pakistan share the same mother tounge nor the same culture as you mentioned historically.

                    but since, the formation of pakistan, these ethincs are all living under the same nationality i.e pakistani and have began to mix more.

                    before the formation of pakistan the ethnics tended to be spread across mainly the asian continent and overtime, through invasions and migrant settlements have mixed.

                    in summary, portion of the people in pakistan are historically of different ethincs mainly from different regions of asia and some may say parts of middle east and europe.

                    look up the people of kalash in pakistan, these people are historically known to be linked to alexander the great, who you may know was european.

                      When all else fails, just call the person you're arguing with racist. Pathetic.
