Appreciate these two warrior's because they are a dying breed fighting for legacy not money

the only real name on his resume as far as im concerned of any calibre was the punisher and considering paul was jumpin up from 147Ibish at will STILL doesnt convince me hes great or one of the best.
a double or a triple(not sure) against some of our english "domestic" level fighters is not what i would call defining.
pavlik just had a punch and thats it, and cintron is a girl. oh yeah, nearly forgot about the knock down with martin murray too!
nah, not great and certainly not the best and so late on?
miguel cotto also late on? dunno....i think its a pick em fight but if miguel improves his speed and sergio still keeps his hands on his hips....its gonna be an early night for the very respected miguel cotto by knockout win.
was it not chavez who ducked him for two years? it's not even possible to make that fight any more. if sergio agrees to it, it will be at 160. chavez will weigh 200 pounds 2 days before the fight then arum and hbo will strong arm sergio into accepting a catchweight of 175. it'd be dumb for him to accept a fight with someone who comes into the ring as a heavyweight.

martinez has toyed with guys who have challenged and won titles. those fights against barker and macklin were not close. barker gave him trouble for a round or two then got beaten down for 8 rounds until he had a broken eardrum. macklin did nothing to martinez and when sergio decided to step on the gas he got macklin out of there within 3 rounds.

in regards to his resume, it seems thinner because none of the other title holders wanted to fight him (which is actually why he moved up to middleweight in the first place) so he had to fight top contenders instead. pavlik for all his problems held two belts and was the lineal champ. if he beats the lineal champ for the belt what more do you want from him. it's only recently that this ggg fight generated interest. maybe in the last year and a bit. before that i didnt see him duck anyone, no one wanted to fight him. quillin talks **** now but i think it was before the dzinziruk fight or macklin fight that sergio's team offered him the fight and quillin's team rejected it, presumably cuz he wasnt ready. it's the same thing with floyd and mosley, floyd offered to fight him before the de la hoya fight. mosley said no cuz he needed dental work. then after floyd crushed marquez, mosley runs into the ring like he's running **** and demands a fight. floyd gives it to him and even though he had 1 tough round, he beat the crap out of mosley the rest of the fight. then people say he ducked mosley until mosley was old. but even if that were true, mosley was still the champ and should have been the lineal champ after the margarito win.

it's hardto judge martinez on that murray fight. if anything he's really tough, to fight with those injuries and still at least make an argument for winning. martinez obviously likes to move around the ring, so with an injured knee and fighting in a monsoon, it's expected that he'll struggle with someone much bigger than him. he still fought his heart out though like a true champ.

          Martinez wasn't the 3d P4P 2010-12

Yall boxing fans shoudl really give this man props for the fights hes given fans. Hes really fought the toughest fights out there. With no hesitation
That's inaccurate (the part mentioning Martinez was 3d P4P 2010-12). Here's the list 2010-12 of the top five P4P fighters according to the Ring Magazine

          2010
          1. Manny Pacquiao
          2. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
          3. Sergio Gabriel Martinez
          4. Juan Manuel Marquez
          5. Nonito Donaire

          2011
          1. Manny Pacquiao
          2. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
          3. Sergio Gabriel Martinez
          4. Nonito Donaire
          5. Juan Manuel Marquez

          2012
          1. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
          2. Andre Ward
          3. Juan Manuel Marquez
          4. Sergio Gabriel Martinez
          5. Nonito Donaire

So the 3d place was taken by Martinez twice and by Marquez once, during those years, and I'm sure that in 2013 Martinez won't even be in the top five any more, because of his poor performance vs. Murray, where many experts consider he got a gift decision, in his very own homeland.

They both fight for money, legacy comes second. No way to sugar coat it.

Am expecting Martinez to KO Cotto before the 9th or 10th round.
