I dunno man, Martinez obviously wanted a big MSG fight before retiring, there's alotta Puerto Ricans in NYC area, plus Martinez' draw as a very popular champ. And Cotto wants the big MSG fight too, and vs Martinez is a way to fill the place. Sounds like a good biz decision they agreed on, that will help both of them. As for Canelo wanting Cotto, that fight can happen later. Sergio will retire probably sooner than Cotto. And as for Canelo, I doubt he begged Cotto. Canelo has plenty of money. He could retire now easily, and he can get Cotto next if he wants... and may do so. Not exactly sure what you're trying to go with here.

Again guys, I know Cotto is a good solid draw. My original comment was commenting on someone who basically claimed Martinez was Cotto's employee and would have to do exactly as he's told. I don't happen to buy that logic. I just don't remember Cotto ever selling out MSG on his own merits. If someone can post a url proving he sold it out vs Trout or vs anyone who's a low draw, I'd love to see it, and eat humble pie as well.
