2014 Prediction Thread

What do you think will happen in 2014??

Some of my predictions:

• Canelo vs Lara will happen
• Kovalev vs Stevenson will happen
• Pacquiao will retire before the year is over
• Keith Thurman will fight Mayweather by the end of 2014
• Rigondeaux will not fight again until the end of the year
• Broner will go down to 140 and lose to either Matthysse or Garcia

Canelo will fight Molina/Angulo, Victor Ortiz, and Cotto if possible. I think he stays away from Lara

HBO will put pressure on Stevenson to make the fight.

Possible. He might retire but I think he'll eventually comeback due to debt.

Mayweather will have a big fight in September. Khan in May is a disappointment but I think he'll have better options for September.

I hope that doesn't happen. I want Kirland/Angulo/Molina first, then Cotto, then Lara to top the year off. How awesome would that be?

Floyd will still cherry pick his opponent

Crawford goes to the UK and boxes Burns' ears off. So much so that the judges can't even rob him.

Floyd's PPV with Khan bombs and Showtimes forces him to fight Manny.

I would love for Floyd to fight Lara. Jesus that would be a great fight

All of those are realistic, except Floyd fighting Thurman.

He'll get a mysterious injury, and sideline himself until the WW picture is more clear, or until the weakest option out of the bunch sneaks in with a good win.

Floyd reminds me of a Lion that picks out the weak and sick, or the young calfs.

Yeah, I would pick Crawford to beat Burns myself.

Idk man, I have a gut feeling that Thurman vs Mayweather will happen in September. Thurman will be the #3 WW in the world by then, IMO right under Floyd and Pac.
