"Ancient" epic fights, such as Gene Tunney vs Jack Dempsey I, had huge attendances (in this case there was about 120,557 -- at the Sesquicentennial Stadium, Philadelphia... but in 1927, of course)...

I don't want to use Delvin Rodriguez as a guage as to where Cotto is at because Delvin sucks and was fighting like he didn't even want to be in there. But Cotto looked damn good in that fight. Martinez on the flip side has looked slightly old and worn. No pick for this fight thus far

No matter where arum wants this fight, this will be massive.

Given the two fighters reputation in boxing.

I guess msg would be much better for cotto.

This fight excites me even if it is 6months away

I hope Arum is not behind the million dollar give away idea and somehow talking Martinez into it. I wish Martinez the best and hope that he doesn't let anyone pressure him into doing anything.

The last hurrah of Top Rank...I will stream this fight for free but still celebrate the fall of Arum and Top Rank. This is his last huge fight before Goldenboy cleans house. Yeah Pacquiao will draw decent numbers in whatever rematch Arum can pull out of his saggy old ass, but nothing huge. This is it. The reaper is has been riding ******* with Arum for months and now its ****ing on the from door of Top Rank headquarters. Goodbye Arum, you scum. Have fun counting Manny's money in hell

Madison Square Garden is an obvious front-runner because Puerto Rico’s Cotto has regularly drawn large crowds to his home away from home since 2005. Promoter Bob Arum also would “love” to stage the Cotto-Martinez match at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., the site of Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb. 2 and home of the Giants and Jets.

This piece of **** Arum is already throwing Martinez under the bus. How much is Martinez making that Arum expects him to buy $1 million dollar worth of tickets? Martinez might have said it jokingly but this old fool is trying to take it on record and run with it. Why can't top rank buy $1 million dollar worth of tickets with all the money they have? This guy is just like Don King, only cares about the money. Bad, bad for the sport. Can't wait till father time retires him. SMH for Pacquaio being stuck with this old fool.

Well Cotto said he would rather fight at MSG, and to be honest, that's where the fight belongs.
