I would intentionally not buy that fight, on principle alone. That would be the most ridiculous thing Mayweather could do. Duck Martinez, and fight the guy who beat him instead, even though you've already beaten that dude 2 years ago.

Very good points and I did not see it like that until I read your posts. Keep in mind that Miguel wants that rematch vs FMJr. and the MW Belt will do just that.

Martinez is the one who will be rejuvenated by June. The reason he was so sloppy in the Murray fight was because he didn't let his knee fully heal from the first surgery, which then required another surgery. This time he has given his knee enough time to properly heal and should be very fresh for this fight. It's not like he's in the nba or nfl; an injured knee is not a death sentence. I don't think the knee will be a problem.

Martinez will brutalize Cotto. Cotto has no business at 160, but I'm glad he is challenging himself. Cotto is a true champion. Martinez knocking him out will be a great way to send him into retirement.
