I'm a Tyson fan but I don't think his knowledge of boxing goes that deep. I am basing this view on some of the interviews i've seen him give (not this particular one).
If you really are a fan of his you would know the depth of his knowledge, Cus had him watching all the greats, and he and Jacobs had one of the best boxing archives in the world.

Myth have it they even had some of Greb's fights in their collection.

Some great interviews with Mike talking about the history of the sport.

Fair. I remember him say in an interview that he didn't watch much boxing these days although this was before his little boxing promotion thing he has got going on now.

Mike knows what he is talking about, he has studied the fight game and watch the greats throughout history.

In fact Tyson reacts angrily if you make such a ****** statement

        Is Tyson right?

        Poll coming!!!
Just for the record, I know this is confusing, but Mike actually used a pretty good word and deserves credit for it: neophyte. Not "neo fight fan".

He clearly means Pacquiao is more entertaining to watch, which is basically objective fact.

I'll find a good interview show with Mike showing his level of boxing knowledge.

            Kl, chuck it my way.

I don't even care for a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight anymore. The only reason why I would want to see it is so this 4 year discussion would just end. It is so tiring.

Mike's got a better vocabulary than me, I will make the necessary edits if I can

tysons boxing knowledge might be legit, but the thing people need to realize is that its a bit outdated. we're just about in 2014, tyson has stated many times (including in THIS interview) that hes much more of a UFC fan than a boxing fan. seriously go watch interviews of tyson the traitor, how he talks about boxing being a "dead" sport and the ufc taking over, how he wouldve been a MMA fighter instead of a boxer, or how the UFC is like 1 big party event while boxing is boring.

the mans a traitor and he jumped ship to be a fulltime mmgay fan. i enjoy mma every now and then (the big fights at least) but its nothing compared to the greatness of boxing and nothing will ever take that spot. i dont question his knowledge of boxings history, because that is very legit. but i DO question his knowledge of boxings PRESENT and future.

the man is nothing more than a "casual" fan nowadays. i know it sounds crazy and controversial being that its "mike tyson", but dont let him being an actual boxer fool you into thinking that hes anything more than a casual fan in 2014. his opinion is about as valuable as anyone elses regarding the current state of boxing.

"Nobody is talking about who is better. I am talking about no one looks as sensational as he does." Paraphrasing.

Mike Tyson didn't say Pacquiao is better than Floyd.

But even if he did pick one over the other, who cares? What is the obsession with Tyson's opinion on Pacquiao vs Mayweather? Anything he says about it gets posted here as gospel.
