No one thought he would fight Canelo 8 months ago
trust me he cares a whole lot about that "0" thats the foundation of his marketing, your definitely right about khan having bigger name and more fans, so really floyd is looking for the most money with the least risk, but from a fans perspective i would love to see the adjustments he would have to make against lara.

ps i always thought he would fight canelo and beat him easy even without the drain.

FK THAT. Wouldn't buy this fight with someone else's money just like Guerrero's.
But you are going to streaming it and talk about it nonstop on this thread afterwards, right? If you're really disgusted at the prospect of this fight getting signed, then your "boycotting" of it should mean you refraining from supporting the event in any way.

He cares about the 0 a lot less than you think and he's always said that. He could of easily been robbed against De La Hoya or Canelo (SD's), or loss to Castillo or been KO'ed early by a dangerous Mosley. He's taken risks, perhaps even lucked up. I don't think he's afraid of Lara it's just that Lara don't bring much to the table even Canelo knows that Canelo ain't scared of Lara and nor is Floyd. He's a typical good cuban boxer. Floyd seen a lot of those guys in the olympics and am's. If Lara gets a couple wins against big names Floyd will take notice but Lara awon't get the chance..

This fight is just to hard to get up for. 99% of Americans know Kahn has no chance. Really hope the fans make a statement that night, I know not ordering fights can be tough especially on fight night. However, the idea of this fight is a joke.

Styles do make fights but I still prefer floyd fight someone other than Khan.

During a recent conversation with Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, he addressed the Mayweather-Khan rumors with myself and ******.com’s Lem Satterfield.

“You know, when Floyd fights it’s an event,” Schaefer stated. “And Floyd could frankly fight Joe Schmoe and it could still be an event because of his personality, his reach, his everything. A Floyd event is must-see TV; it’s a must-see event.”

Now its styles make fights. LOL Golden Boy and Floyd please just admit you want to desperately fight Amir Khan. The public does not want it but you do because it is a high reward low risk for Floyd.

No matter how Schaefer tries to sell this fight, it's still smelly smelly smelly. Guerrero was even better than this "proposed" fight due to the fact that his was a "mandatory" and actually beat two legitimate WW. I can see Amir giving Mayweather fits with his speed and decent power for the first couple of rounds, but he hasnt earned this fight at all.
