Either way, its besides the point. Provo's in the winner's bracket. So no need for him to fight guys in the loser's bracket. And it especially doesn't make any sense when he's not handcuffed by the GBP-TR beef. There are several guys he could fight that would move his career forward. Rios has lost two in a row. One of those was to the guy Provo just "No Mas'd." Its a pointless fight. Other than its can't miss in terms of action and allows Arum to cash out Rios in a fight that will sell reasonably well.
      Rios wasn't brutalized?

Well, his face told a different story and getting hit over and over with 4-5 punch combinations for 12 rounds looked pretty brutal.

As for what can Provo fight. At 47 you got guys like Porter, Thurman, and Maidana. How good would Chino-Provo be? At 40, you got guys like Garcia and Matthysse. Even coming off a loss, Matthysse is higher on the foodchain than Rios. He's not a TR fighter. Therefore he's not bound by the promotional beef with GBP.
He's an HBO fighter, his promoter has made that clear, the other guys you mention are Showtime.

It's pretty much Pacquiao, Marquez, Bradley II, Alvarado II or Rios.

I'd favor Pacman vs Provo. I'd favor Provo vs Rios. Smart move for Provo to fight Rios. As to fighting Pacman, Provo doesn't want the fight - he said he doesn't want to be the fighter to end Pacman's career. If Provo doesn't fight Pacman next, he should be fighting Rios. Easy money and a good action fight.

I love this fight and all, but maybe Brandon should get a tune-up...that would be too many tough fights in a row.
