Either way, its besides the point. Provo's in the winner's bracket. So no need for him to fight guys in the loser's bracket. And it especially doesn't make any sense when he's not handcuffed by the GBP-TR beef. There are several guys he could fight that would move his career forward. Rios has lost two in a row. One of those was to the guy Provo just "No Mas'd." Its a pointless fight. Other than its can't miss in terms of action and allows Arum to cash out Rios in a fight that will sell reasonably well.Comment

i agree. He needs to learn how to block shots with something other than his face. Im a Rios fan. I dont wanna see him lose 3 in a row. That will have a lingering affect on his career. Id like to see him win a fight or two with solid opposition before he gets in all out brawl with someone like Rulsan.
Damn good fight though. But could be a career ending move for Rios if he takes a loss and especially a KO loss!Comment

As for what can Provo fight. At 47 you got guys like Porter, Thurman, and Maidana. How good would Chino-Provo be? At 40, you got guys like Garcia and Matthysse. Even coming off a loss, Matthysse is higher on the foodchain than Rios. He's not a TR fighter. Therefore he's not bound by the promotional beef with GBP.Comment

I wouldn't pick Provo to win. But I think he may be relentless enough to force Pac into a firefight. A firefight with a puncher that Pac likely wants no part of at this stage of his career. Which is why Roach and Pac have convinced Provo that they're too good a friends to have a boxing match.Comment
