At 1st I was really against the Khan fight. But because Danny Garcia is running from Floyd & a Bradley fight wont happen because of the HBO/Showtime war a fight with Amir Khan after just being in the biggest fight in boxing history isn't such a bad thing. No matter what excuse you make Khan does have solid victories over Maidana, Barrera, & Judah. Khan is a former world champion & also has a pretty big fan base.

I still would give Floyd more props for beating Shawn Porter or Keith Thurman but those 2 wont bring the type of numbers that Khan will.
I agree the options are low but the fact is Khan isn't even one of the top fighters at 140.

He has some good wins and a solid resume but the fact is he's 2-2 and hasn't looked impressive in a long time.

You simply can't justify this fight and as a fan of Mayweather you shouldn't.

We're not used to these kind of fights from Mayweather. Atleast I'm not. Mayweather fights a top contender pretty much every single time out and has done for years. This fight with Khan is breaking the trend.

I see more "Critics" justifying the fight than more "Fans"... I don't think anyone is "Justifying" it. The fight would happen "doe".. It doesn't matter who "justify" what, money talks and money justify who gets to fight Mayweather.

Khan beat Miadana if you want to justify the fight (I think Miadana is a better fighter now with Garcia). These guys seem like the only good options (It's not like Danny Garcia is calling him out)

The only question now is what fight sells the most PPV, and if the main event isn't big enough to draw in the fans then maybe they stack the under card for the die hard fans. There are a lot of really good fights to me made next year. I hope once Floyd's opponent is announced they have another really good fight to add to the card.

Khan beat him in 2010 though.

A lot has changed since then.

          I don't think it's a good justification.

Because i dont see floyd hurting biscuit chin and khans nice and tall with a decent jab and superior speed. Apart from when khan gets koed he usually dominates his opponents

Seems like people just want an easy fight for Floyd. Most agree Garcia isn't ready.A rare instant where a fighter actually turns down the Floyd payday cause money doesn't make him and he gets criticized for it.

Floyd/Khan is a $h!t fight. Floyd's to blame if it happens. But as usual his fans want an (easy) but credible fight. Garcia doesn't cooperate and people want to blame him, shameful.
I agree. Garcia is not running from Floyd at all. Garcia is a very young improving fighter who has never lost. His trainer thinks he would benefit from a few fights before fighting Mayweather. They know Floyd will still be looking for guys to fight a year from now. If Garcia keeps on winning he will be at the top of the list of guys Floyd should fight and Garcia will fight him then. He could fight Floyd now with a great chance of losing even though he would be will paid. He can fight Floyd in a year or so for even more money and a better chance of winning the fight. All undefeated fighters like to keep their 0, not just Mayweather.

I can dig it. The point is Danny right now would be a credible, but easy win for Floyd. That's the kinda fights his fans adore. No one outside of Bradley and Thurman has a shot to beat him at 147, (imo). Then their's Lara at 154. But his fans "want" Maidana or Danny, or Porter cause they're credible, but not that risky as Lara would be.

You could just say Floyd is the boss now and he fights whoever he wants to fight. There is nothing fans can do about it but complain and not buy the fight. Mayweather will still make huge money.

Believe it or not, even the Flomos don't want to see this fight. But the Flomos (Not regular Floyd fans) will do or say anything to protect their hero. Its sad really and makes regular fans look bad.
