I'm going to echo 78SPORTSTV (youtube) and say that Pac should fight Rabchenko (Hatton's 154lb contender) for the WBC 154lb strap, beat his ass, and then be the #1 contender for both Floyd's 147 & 154 WBC belts

then floyd can relinquish both belts in order to duck pacquiao and it'll be seen as one of the biggest ducks in boxing history, dropping TWO belts so you don't have to fight a guy

Hahahahahahha wake up from this dream/pacs nightmare. Pac dont want to fight at welter. He has NEVER fought a 154lb fight his jr mw strap was a sham and a shame. He rufused to fight sergio and never defended the belt. He refused to fight cotto at 154, he tried to get another catch wt bout with cotto but he refused and fought floyd insted and made the most money for a bout in his career. No boxy is afraid of no power face 1st pac. And how is he a #1 contender after getting his azz handed to him by jmm and tim? He fights little not even ranked rios and becomes #1 contender? This is the foolishness people are sick of and thats why no body bought his last fight. Arum is killing pac. Pac should grow some balls and demand some real fights to rebuild his credibility with the casual fan. He is in the toilet thanks to arum and roach.

Whats so funny to me is if you look at both pac and jmm there was no difference in build. So if jmms muscle caused concern pacs did too. Except pac fans dont care if pac cheats they only want to see him win at any cost. So it must be killing them to see pac looking so sorry and pathetic in the ring vs little unranked rios.lol and so much for pac is right there with floyd in ppv sales floyd sets records while pac takes a huge loss. Not arum just pac arum gets his money first.

i'm pretty sure somewhere in pacquiao's top rank contract, it states that he will allow bob arum to promote and choose all of his opponents. this is also most likely the case with al haymon fighters. this is why fighters who are promoted under these banners never call anybody out

even if pacquiao was a free agent, i doubt he could get a fight with floyd. the fight could've been made in 2009, but pacquiao kind of shot himself in the foot throwing floyd's drug testing demands back in his face. but that was then, this is now. floyd offered him 40 million, as if that was a fair offer, and he turned it down. this is a potential 200-300m fight after all promotions, sponsors are added in, and you're flat-fee'ing the guy 40 million? that was set up to fail, anybody with an ounce of intelligence could see right past that ****.

you can cite "oh he lost" or "he was knocked out by marquez", but none of that **** means anything. fighters lose, it's boxing. not every fighter goes an entire career undefeated. so sick of people bringing that **** up. it was humorous at the time because it made all of the pactards disappear, but i'm not going to hold it against him or erase his entire body of work because of that one fight.

rabchenko isn't anything special, and it's only 1 division up. I'd put my money on pacquiao winning that fight. it's a solid plan, IMO

Truth is, NONE of that matters. There's only one thing that MP needs to "deserve" the fight. And that's $$$$$$$$. That's it.

Gotta say good post. But haymon is floyds manager not his promoter. And gotta disagree pacs horrible showing lately has too many people saying floyd would kill pac. I always had floyd by 7th rn stoppage. The fight game is 1st and foremost a business and pac did a lot of damage to his brand by looking so bad vs tim and jmm. Arum used pacs popularity to line his pockets not pacs. There is no way this fight does 200-300 million ppv. I would be surprised if it does1.5million. Arums nonsense killed it. People can try to blame floyd all they want but arum would not let pac fight outside of top rank. But I have to admit that was a good, well thought out post to be honest.
