Here we go about race again, who cares what race he is? Someone of your race being a good fighter doesn't make you one.

Leave It To Some Bonehead Trying To Play Race Into Boner's Beatdown
I got news for you, arrogance and ego got Boner his mugging. Boner was slow to sign the contract; he took forever to agree to the fight. He had some doubt, his team had doubts they were in over their head, hence why as camp wore on, Boner got more and more quiet during training. But all the youtube videos, acting gangster, the arrogance he showed in his tit for tat with Paulie Mags in the previous fight, belittling women in a trashy way... it all just came to a head, and he stepped in with a bomber who is no nonsense, approaching his Boxing peak, and trained like a mad man. Just like Provodnikov does, for what he may lack in skill set, Maidana just imposed his will, nothing was going to stop him, and along the way he made sure he turned it into a street fight, and beat up Boner to take home his wounds to treat and reflect. As is always the case, clowns all jump on the next guy that Maidana "has no chance against", seeking to take away from the beatdown he just gave your guy. Nobody said Maidana is the game's best, but he sure gave Boner a piece of humble pie. I will say this about Larry Merchant, he is a class act, and he called it right; he spoke very well of what we saw in that fight. Boner, I must say, showed more ballz than his mentor Floyd Junior taking that fight, staying in to survive to the end; he had no quit. Floyd won't take those risky fights. Boner needs to go to '40 and see if he can beat up Rios & Alvarado, then re-evaluate.Comment

Larry Merchant loves the sport of boxing and he tells it like it is. Enjoy him while we can because I would have thought Manny Steward would outlive Larry any day but the boxing icons are dropping like flies. Sulaiman is most likely next.Comment

Laughed at this:
Here is how Larry Merchant summed Broner up to me after the fight: "From humping to thumping, from billions to thousands, from performance artist to con artist. from the next Mayweather to the next Berto?"Comment
