The super bantamweight title fight between Kiko Martinez and Jeffrey Mathebula is now underway in Elche, Spain.

Martinez (29-4-1, 21KO) makes the first defense of the belt he acquired with a dominant showing against previously unbeaten Jhonatan Romero this past August in the United States. The same belt previously belonged to Mathebula (27-4-2, 14KO), who won the strap in March '12 before conceding to Nonito Donaire in their unification bout last July.
