Yes Arum will be pissed off. All the more reason why I'm saying the "chance" meeting between FM and MP could actually make things worse.

Of course, and anyone rational would adduce the same, Mayweather is quite right when he says Pacquiao has a boss.

To think the fight is more likely with an attempt to cut out major players is screwball logic.

Yesterday, as far as I was concerned the fight was close to being made with the announcement to be made next week. Rafael, Malignaggi, Theophane had all dropped hints to that end.

If my posts sound pissed off it's because it now seems further away than ever and we're hearing the same old stories.

Manny Pacquiao barely cracks by top 10 favorite fighters, Keith Thurman is actually higher on my list. I'm primarily a fan of exciting punchers, Matthysse, Kovalev, Beterbiev etc. I want the fight to happen as soon as possible, imo Floyd has declined more than Pacquiao and I'm picking the latter by decision. I can't be any more clear.

I just read the fighthype article. I could see Floyd saying that. I don't care about the Koncz stuff. I will scroll back to see quotes now.

Again I reacted to what I've been reading from you. My reaction to that and the JMM stuff has been so strong because it matched the posts Ive read from the very worst on NSB. That is why I was so disgusted and felt something needed to be said.

Dude, arum was saying the same things about cotto/canelo and that fell through. don't you get that Arum saying the fight is close is "lawyer talk" that makes the negative seem as good as possible?

The bottom line is any attempt to circumvent Arum just pushes the fight further away, because Floyd is right, Pacquiao has a boss - he is contractually tied up with Top Rank.

Even if Pacquiao tries to go against Arum, look at the Mikey Garcia, Chavez Jr. situations - it's not gonna fly.

Floyd may have told Manny same thing-I will not fight you with Bob involved, ask him to take the set aside money. that isn't pushing the fight further away-that's making it closer if Bob just gets out of the way. he still gets his money.

Maybe Manny's friend saying the fight is on for May 2 is an acknowledgement that whatever needed to happen to get Bob out of the way has occurred.

I am just happy Manny's friend said it will happen may 2nd. that's the best thing I've read in a long time.

Thing is time is running out for May 2nd, and even if viable that's a lot to sort out and we're 90% sure on Floyd fighting on May 2nd.

If Top Rank are cut out, who promotes the fight? Mayweather Promotions aren't equipped to stage one of the biggest fights in history, Golden Boy again?

It just raises more questions than answers at a time when many believed the fight were close.

If they can get it sorted, great but I think scepticism is more warranted than optimism, it's been 5-6 years of the same.

Basically. If you take the meeting as some sort of negative because of Arum blah blah...you're a ****ing clown. That's my take. All positive as far as I'm concerned.
