Even Algieri who got knocked down 6x and was running for dear life for 12 rounds didn't think Pac's punches hurt him. Do I believe him that it didn't hurt? Of course not, they guy was running for dear life.

What they are saying, and what it all means Is lost pride. They got embarrassed so bad and all they can do is to talk smack to pac to feel good about their embarrassing loss.

That's one way of looking at it, the other way is that they would claim Pacquiao to win since they got a bad beating so they would big up Pacquiao to make themselves look better for example Trout saying Lara would beat Canelo. The likes of Oscar and Mosley don't seem bitter about Pacquiao they just give their take on the fight, in fact Oscar in particular is clearly more bitter towards Floyd.

To be honest I don't even think this whole common opponent thing has any bearing on who wins between Mayweather and Pacquiao. Styles and circumstances make fights.

If the fight were happening in Macau, who would be favoured? Pacquiao is NOT knocking out Floyd and no way a decision is going against Floyd in Las Vegas, hence the belief by most that Floyd wins by decision...with a nice puffy face!

Last I checked, you do not outpoint Manny. Floyd biggest weakness against A Level fighters, is that he is a counter puncher who likes to land the "perfect" punch. If he does not let his hands go, he WILL lose to Pacquiao. No way does he outpoint Manny. Nobody does.

He's an A Level fighter now and unless he ages overnight, it'll be tough for a "counter puncher", to outpoint him over 12 rounds.
