The World Boxing Council has ordered Chris Arreola and Bermane Stiverne to fight in a rematch for the vacant title.

If Arreola and Stiverne are unable to reach an agreement, then Deontay Wilder (30-0, 30KOs), ranked at number three, would fall in line to fight for the belt. Fury says, because Wilder has never fought an eliminator, he should not get the opportunity of a title shot. Fury beat Kevin Johnson in a WBC title eliminator last December. [Click Here To Read More]
Both Fury and Wilder have been waiting for Klitschko to retire so they could fight for the title. Neither of them wanted to fight Klitschko. Now they are *****ing about who should get the first title shot. The WBC chose the right two people to fight for the title. If Arreola and Stiverne can't come to an agreement, it will go to a purse bid and the fight will still take place.

Fury and Wilder should fight each other to see who gets the first shot at the new champion. Unfortunately, it won't happen. Both will continue to be protected just as they have for their entire careers.

They both claim that the other one has not fought a quality opponent, and therefore is not worthy of a fight against whoever is speaking at the time. The truth is both are being protected.

        Reasonable statement by Fury.

Nonsense! Us Americans don't have any hope in Wilder, just like we didn't for that hypejob Mitchell. I think the last American heavyweight we actually backed was a prime Holyfield. All our big athletes go to the damn NFL!

I wouldn't mind a Wilder vs. Fury fight. Then winner can get Arreola vs. Stiverne.

But Wilder has to fight someone ranked in WBC before he gets the winner. He can't just be waiting in line for a shot when he's coming off a win over Firtha.

Tyson Fury needs to **** his bum ass up. Wilder is #3. #1 already soundly beat #2. So logically, I would like to see #1 in with the next ranked guy. And either way, its all irrelevant in the grand scheme of things because Wladimir is THEE heavyweight champ. So whomever emerges from this thing with this trinket is nothing but a paper pretender anyway. He's just got his panties in a bunch cause he wants to try and win a fake title and take it across the water and hold it hostage. F.uck him.

Didn't Wilder offer to fight him in the UK (After Fury & Chisora called him out) if neither guy got a shot at the title?

Deontay Wilder, the next big hope of American heavyweight boxing, has verbally accepted a showdown with Tyson Fury following a Twitter campaign from the British fighter...

Fury got real quiet after that

I'm not saying Wilder is more deserving of the shot but he was willing to fight this guy.

I keep saying that if Floyd does fight Khan May 3rd then Wilder vs. Fury would be a great fight to put on the under card along with Broners comeback fight or rematch.

I think, Tyson out mans him and we all know what Wilder will do to him. Tyson is much better conditioned than Areolla. I figure Tyson would win a sloppy decision. Wilder will land on him sooner or later, sooner than. So yeah, he's only No.2 on paper. Seth was a football player, even Areolla made fun of the fact. What did he say? "You don't play boxing?"
