    Gamboa Training With Floyd Sr.

Happened upon this picture while browsing through Facebook. If you go to Gamboa's new Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/YuriorkisGa...uriorkisGamboa), and scroll down towards the bottom, you'll also find a short video clip of him training with Floyd Mayweather Sr. I don't know what this all means, but it seems interesting on several levels.

Gamboa is the only cuban boxer I like and still I am not too fond of him, his style has changed into a more passive one which I'm not a fan of. I remember the good old days back in 2008 when he was this speed demon with crushing power, Gamboa was straight up scary. Wish Gamboa-Juanma was made back then when it was still attractive.

Anyhow, this means he will be even more technical than before. Gamboa just needs to mash his technical side with his offensive abilities and he'd be a very good fighter. Needs to go back to pressing the action more and not just get satisfied with tagging his opponent all night. It seems like he has lost the hunger or, yes I will say it, the PEDs.

Gamboa was as exciting as they come a few years ago. I saw an interview with him where he explained how he's been experimenting with different styles in his last few fights, trying to master different looks. Add to that the fact that Yuri's been inactive and moving up in weight, and you have your answer as to why he's been lackluster.

As to the PEDs: I don't know if he's used any or not, but I've been watching Gamboa since long before he turned pro. He was always a special athlete, and he regularly underwent Olympic style testing. Not that it proves anything, but he's never tested positive before for any PEDs.

I don't know if Floyd Sr. is training Yuri now or if he just dropped by the gym. Whatever the case, the old man looks like he can still lay a whoopin' on cats.

Is that right? Do you know anything about it? Gamboa just started his official Facebook page, so some of those pics might be old.

Back in 2007-2008 I saw Gamboa fight on Showtime (I believe) and Mayweather Sr was his trainer so it might be a picture from back then.

Yeah he was going to train him and Andre Dirrell til Floyd decided he wanted his father to be his trainer again.

It can't be that old because there's an SMS banner in the background. It's probably before Floyd Sr. left.

When is he gonna get back in the ring? Abril, Garcia, whoever! just get back in there.

I wonder if 50 got him learning English to make him more marketable.

Gamboa not as bad as Solis in term of wasted talent but at this rate of inactivity and forcing himself to 135 and looking bad idc how entertaining you are people will stop giving a ****.

PS: Does Gamboa know something we dont? why the fk is he so happy and optimistic in his videos like he about to do some big **** we dont know about. If i had to wait 1 year between fights and couldn't get anybody worth **** in the ring I wouldn't be that positive.
