the people saying floyd stops Maidana are the same ones who said Broner was gonna stop Maidana and we all know how that turned out

Maidana beats floyds ass. He threw almost 1000 punches in a 24 foot by 24 foot ring. And he was wearing everlast gloves.

If Maidana gets floyd in a 20 x 20 and gets to wear Reyes gloves, I'll bet my account with anybody on here

Maidana is a better fighter now than he was against Alexander. And he is very up front and honest about his fights. He says he was hurt by Broner and that he couldn't knock him out. What other fighter would admit such a thing? If he can take 3 or 4 to 1 of Mayweather's shots then he has a chance.

However, Lara may be the only one.

I don't care how good Floyd vs Khan would be in hypothetical style land, it makes no sense at all. No momentum, no demand, no recent highlights, no narrative, NOTHING.

the guy needs a notable, comprehensive WIN. I really dont think the bar for him to get the fight is even that high. Maidana has had to rebuild himself multiple times and he's still here

1.if canelo got a shot and chino is better than canelo.

2.if chino has 4 impressive wins.

3.If slumdog has a glass chin and Floyd is quick.

4.if slumdog is boring than a mofo and floyd is the king of boring.

5.if Floyd has pilow fists and has not knocked anyone in ages and is old as dirt.

6.if Floyd is the king of duck and president of the track running team.

7.Bottom line is only a few American boxing enthusiast would pay to see to pillow fighters run away from eachother all fight long. The general public doesn't buy ppv to see floyd,Floyd needs a Mexican for people to buy his ppvs and Maidana has been adopted by a Mexican family.his new nickname is Marcos El jefe de jefes.

My goodness, you guys must reall really really want floyd to lose if you think maidana can beat him. The guys that can beat floyd, are the guys floyd wont fight.

Realistically speaking, His odds to win are far greater then Cotto's, The Ghosts, Canelo, Khans, Hattons, Victors, and Mosleys. Marcos Maidana is a smarter fighter then people are giving him credit to be. He does a lot of faints, great body work and is rough. He's offensive is deceivingly intelligent.

However, I just don't see Floyd taking this fight. Each passing day his fear of legitimate opponents grows and grows. I find it hysterical and sad that he himself is trying to sell the Khan fight before it's even a done deal. I see Mayweather ducking Maidana, and I see Golden Boy productions giving Maidana a tough fight like Thurman. That's what I see...

Whether Mayweather beats Maidana or not is irrelevant, the fans want to see it, and it will do very, very well on pay per view buys. I'm not buying any Mayweather fight unless it's against a legitimate threat. I liked the Canelo fight, but obviously who liked all the side baggage of that fight. He (mayweather) is a champion in the junior middle weight division. He fights a champion in the same division (Canelo) at a catch weight for a belt. Canelo, by the way who has a difficult time even making 154 at all. Mayweather's greatness walks hand and hand with illusion. Is the guy really good? Yeah I guess, but who can really say with all that canned tunna he's been feeding himself for the last decade. He avoided a Margarito fight, a Paul williams fight, Cotto in his prime, Mosley in his prime.

Who has he really beaten at there best? Hatton? Corrales? Canelo? I'm not impressed. I'm really not impressed. He also totally avoided Tzu btw.

Fight Maidana, Martinez (at 154), Manny Pacquiao, or a Timothy Bradley and I'm all in. I'll order it, no problem. Fight Khan, and I'm just going to s h i t all over Mayweather until he hangs up those well protected gloves of his.

              War Al Chino.

All things considered, it's a better fight than Khunt.
