LMAO @ "UFC is a dying sport". Its bigger then ever. The only reason for ratings decline is because of network changes. Any other show on TV would be making TV suicide by changing stations. Shows how strong MMA has become still being able to break a million views on 3 different networks.
Piss off haters. Stop comparing apples and oranges. I love both sports because they are different and unique. Stop catching female feelings being insecure.

I give respect to the UFC, yes they can't compete with gbp and top rank but at least they don't have to beg networks to buy fights like Lou Dibella. Which is why i like gbp and top rank also cause like the ufc if a network decided not to buy a fight they have the resources to run the show on their own.Comment

It's not the biggest rematch. It won't even beat Silva-Sonnen 2. It was the biggest rematch after the KO itself but once the adrenaline wore down and people realized that looked like the luckiest punch ever, it's now just another Anderson Silva fight.
It wouldn't do 1/6 of Pac-May numbers.Comment

It honestly ain't about where it's asked.
The question though is like asking, what would get the better ratings if matched up head to head:
The Superbowl or the NBA Finals? The NBA Finals on its own does fine ratings wise but if it went head to head on the same night as the Superbowl, it would get demolished. It's just not a fair fight.Comment

The UFC's biggest card of the year is the New Year card. Usually does 800k to over a million. Anderson Silva is prob the greatest fighter ever and was knocked out acting the fool in his last fight in the summer. The rematch was signed weeks after the loss.
I really don't believe any boxing match other than Manny-Floyd would be able to compete with the UFC in sales with only one week of promotion. Canelo-Money does not do that with just a week considering the quality of entertainment of the last fight.
As far as UFC declining numbers goes, boxing may have bigger numbers on PPV but they only have maybe 3-4 events a year. UFC has a PPV every month and free shows that bring in 4-5 million viewers (and they are very often on the same night as boxing PPVs)Comment

I do enjoy watching the UFC but If there Is boxing on HBO or Showtime, I am going with boxing. The ufc Is good, but It doesn't give me the butterflies and keep me on the edge of my seat like a big super fight. You guys know what I mean. Your favorite fighter Is In the ring and they are doing the National Anthems and you got those butterflies going and your hearts pounding. I think I am more nervous than the fighters. There Is nothing like the drama before a big fight and there Is no card that Dana White could put together that would compete with a Pac-Mayweather fight.Comment
