Why fight Canelo if you are scared of PAC. PAC hasn't had KO since 2009. He looked good against Rios but then again so did Alvarado who is a C level fighter. So I guess he's avoiding BRADLEY too? If you look at the facts when has he done business with Arum since he left Top Rank? Cotto didn't get the fight until he left Arum. I'm not sure what happen but there is clearly some animosity there.
Generally you will get shouted down for this opinion....I agree with you. I have done a lot of thinking about this issue and I sometimes vascillate and assume there might be some fear of Pac, or even of Pac enhancing and winning....I mean if you think about it...if Floyd went into the ring with a very enhanced pacman, EVEN if after the fight Pac admitted it the damage would be done! I sometimes think this scares Floyd.

But regarding Arum: Floyd is very money conscious and knows that Arum has benefitted already from when he was promoted by Arum. If Floyd feels cheated by Arum it creates an interesting dynamic. On the one hand Floyd can say "I respect Bob, we are civil and I even wish him well". On the other hand, he can turn around and say "but I do not do business with Arum he is not open to my kind of contract negotiation." Or even "I don't want to put any more money in Bob's hand, he took from me, I was young and naive, but he ain't taking from me anymore."

Heres what imo, a lot of people overlook: and lets not forget the Samurai Maxum that "often big things are of little consequence and small things can become of great consequence." Floyd met with Don King. You don't hear much about that meeting these days. I would assume that Floyd told King that while he may have some respect for King....Floyd promotes his own show. Hence, Floyd may try to avoid any big promoters when given a chance. He obviously has a respect for Golden Boy as a company that is run and organized by a former fighter(s).

What people who ***** about Arum and king don't ever get is that if you do not empower them economically they have no power....I have not bought a fight in years and may never buy a fight again. Why would I want to put money in Bronner's, Arum's pocket? I might put money in Floyd's pocket though...I respect people who are not exploiters and cut out the middle man. What Floyd is doing could be an extension of Golden Boys more fighter friendly way of doing business. I hope so. Floyd realizes that people empower Arum's crap when they accept him determining who Pacquio fights next.

If Arum really wanted this fight he could step aside and let it happen. The fact that he does not indicates that: He does not think Pac can beat Floyd...you know at least part of him wants to see Floyd lose...Arum is a vindictive bastard. He is too selfish to let this fight get made if it does not line his golden casket.

**** Arum, Floyd has a point on this one

all pac has to do is to get some ballz and tell arum to let the fight happen. this fight can still happen in may.if not then money vs maidana then september will do. arum needs to get out the way so mayweather can take pacquiao apart. pac fixes his tax problems and money moves on to the next one.

Easy fix. Arum can take the step aside fee that Schaefer offered him a couple weeks ago. Then, the fight is easily made. If Arum refuses, Pac can simply not re-sign with Arum when his contract expires at the end of 2014. If Pac wants the fight, this is all he has to do. No big deal.

Think about that for a second.... When you do business with a person you support that individual. Arum benefitts from the explotation of pac. I wouldn't want to put any money in his pocket on that account, why should Floyd? If Pacma wants to be exploited and jacked....let him....and there is nothing that is stopping pac from not renewing his contract meaning: THAT FLOYD WOULD BE SUCCESFUL stopping Arum's exploitation. Lets see if Floyd makes an excuse if Pacman does not sign with Arum...I bet he would be open to that fight...and why don't any journalists (so called) ask him if he would consider Pac without obligations to Arum?

If Floyd had simply always said this from the very beginning, and said nothing else when asked about fighting Pac, it would be a lot harder to criticize him. It's not like Arum is trying hard to work with Floyd either, and the bad blood was established long before Pac was a fight fans wanted.

Instead we have a hundred different reasons Floyd's given, from testing to money to dates to avenging losses to "Pac who?" and on and on and on. If all stems back to Arum, just say so.
