even sergios advisor laughed when told cotto was offered more fight Martinez, this fight might do ok in ppv,but not like it would against canelo,i'm curious if cotto is going all the way to 160 or is he going to do what he was upset with pacquiao for asking,a catchweight

Arum is speaking the truth. Cotto has no leverage against Canelo so while the fight will make more he will have to give up more in the ppv split to make it happen.
He will have a bigger guarantee against Canelo but can force his terms on Martinez as Sergio is not as big of a PPV attraction so Cotto will be carrying the card.
Hats off to Cotto if he gets more money out of Arum to fight an old sergio coming off an injury and year of inactivity vs a young gun in Canelo that is coming off his first loss but literally took no damage and would be too much for Cotto at this point in time...

This fight will be a one sided bewtdown by kartinez not alot of appeal really.

Put canelo vs cotto in vegas or texas. Canelo was jjst part of the second biggeet ppv
I just dont think Canelo will have much interest for his next ppv, cuz his luster is gone with his performance against May. Lemme know Canelos ppv buys vs Lara or Angulo in March. Guarantee it wont sell as well cuz of his last performaance. look what happened to Pac.
IM from the NYC area , lemme tell you people come out for Cotto boy. Add Sergio Martinez (the king of his weight class, with another weight class belt on the line for cotto)...thats gonna sell. people in nyc know their boxing. ask iron mike

Sergio may be his farewell but thats Cotto, taking fights with legit challenges which he's done during his entire care. He knows canelo is the more winnable fight of the two but Cotto aint known for ducking or taking the easy road...

See, that's where you are wrong, it isn't more winnable. He'd have to kill Canelo, just to earna draw. Floyd embarrassed him, and they tried to rob him, he didn't even land one telling blow. Cotto isn't an asset of gbp, Canelo, even looking llike cap and getting beat pillar to pulsar would not lose.

Cotto Martinez is worth more to the man personally. He wants what Canelo can't offer, the 4th divisional title, in the one of the sports most storied division, with the second longest active lineal chain. Plus Sergio is still rated and the fight is on Cotto terms, not gbp.

Like I said before business wise if Cotto loses to Martinez he can blame factors like going up in weight as a reason he lost, go back down and fight Canelo. If he takes the Canelo first then there's no where to go if he loses

canelo sells more tickets than all of them so canelo is the winner
