Should all decisions be draws ?

I'm not saying this should happen, but hypothetically would boxing be more exciting ? Or would be just see boxings version of parking the bus ?

As it is, It's rare to see fighters risk it all even when they are way down on the cards.

But, if the fighter way ahead still had to get a KO to win, wouldn't it mane it more exciting.

Serious if you had to get the KO to win it couldn't be boring could it?

If neither side scores in most sports it's a draw.

      No more robberies.

No. That would mean Maidana got a draw when he beat the hell out of Broner and deserved a win. Boxing could use better, more honest judging and bring back the scoring of even rounds on rounds that are even. But to call all fights that went the distance a draw would be silly. A good boxer with no punch would have nothing but draws on his record even if he clearly won all his fights.

that's how it used to be. fights would be scored draws if there was no stoppage in regulation. newspapers [journalists] would score fights, and guys would be awarded a "newspaper decision" in the eyes of the public.

But Maidana wouldnt have fought the same if those were the rules. It might have been a better fight.

Plus there wouldnt be any good boxers with no punch around since the focus in training wouldbe on power and kos.

I say try it for 1 year.
