Patience. He's looked good against stiff opposition but has yet to face a top 5 contender. I've been high on Thurman for over a year but will not crown him the next star until I see more.

He's got a few things to fix, particularly his defense, but he's got the ability to be a star. A true people's champ as well.

Floyd needs to stop ducking Thurman. Thurman beat the guy that beat berto and aydin. this is more than enough for a fight.

          Ortiz>berto
          guerrero>aydin and berto
          Thurman>soto karass>berto and aydin

          proof!

          oh yeah and canelo>no one

Not his fault. I do not believe he's shy away from anyone.

If you're a fan of a fighter at 147, Thurman is the last guy you want to see him in with. I'd hate to see Malignaggi in there with him.

I'm not completely sold on Thurman yet. I find he winds up his punches and is wide open to counters when doing so.

I have a feeling that when he fights anyone with good power and handspeed he is going to get in deep water quickly. Time will tell.

cept no one at welter has power. maybe pac and kell brook. Floyd, Bradley, malignaggi, porter, alexander, guerrero, and broner have nothing to worry Thurman.
