On January 3rd at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Mendez will make a mandatory defense of his championship against mandatory challenger Rances Barthelemy (19-0, 12KOs). I wouldn't say this is easy, Rances Barthelemy is a Cuban boxer so although I do believe Mendez wins, it won't be an easy task. But Garcia Mendez would be more interesting.

Remember Barthelemy UD'd Usmanee while Mendez took him to a Draw. Don't under estimate Barthelemy. Mendez still wins but it will be a tough fight for him.
