Floyd isn't really "little" he's small not little. Rigo is the size of an 11 year old girl in America...thats little.Comment

I love Rigo and Lara's skills but i'm not gonna lie. I enjoy watching Money rip someone outside of the ring. Or seeing him show up to an award show with the Money Crew and decked out. Rigo and Lara not speaking Enlgish kinda bothers me. Idk their personalities or who their favorite artist is right now. I've never seen them enjoying themselves at a club or ever talk smack to someone.
Say what you want about The Problem but we knew he listens to Ken**** Lamar, we know exactly how he feels about a person or subject. We know his personality.
We have no idea wtf Rigo is about ouside the ringComment

Not speaking English bothers this guy, lol. This dude is annoying. He thinks all black fighters are the best and everyone else sucks, period. If you're black, English is not your original language, son. "***s don't salute the f**kin' Swastika, but n***as pledge allegiance to the flag that accosted ya!" Let that soak in, Mr. Black American.Comment

And let me be clear on this, just because I said Cubans and Japanese fighters are the biggest rivals to Mexicans, that doesn't mean I think Mexicans are superior to them.
America tries to portray that they're the best in boxing, but don't believe the hype. Just because Floyd is the best boxer in the U.S. and also happens to be the best boxer in the world, does not mean that the U.S. is the best boxing country in the world.
I think Mexicans, Cubans, and Japanese are battling for the top spot right now. Then there's the U.S., Argentina, U.K., Philippines, and Puerto Rico.Comment

I like this thread. Although, I wouldn't put Floyd in the same boat with Rigo, Lara, and Ward. I can't stand Floyd, but he's the best fighter in the world.
I think the networks, the media, and the American fans are bias against Latino fighters. They say guys like Bernard Hopkins, Andre Ward, and Devon Alexander are master technicians and a joy to watch, but Guillermo Rigondeaux, Erislandy Lara, and Carlos Molina are skill-less and terrible to watch. Same styles, different ethnicities.
The bias is much worse for Cubans I think because of America's hatred for Fidel Castro. I think Japanese fighters are shunned too, because of Pearl Harbor. Trust me, America doesn't like countries that stand up to them. Personally, I think the Japanese and Cubans are the biggest rivals to Mexicans in regards to boxing talent. There is not as much bias against Mexicans because people enjoy the Mexican style, but Mexicans get robbed a lot, and I mean A LOT. I think that's because a loss doesn't hurt Mexican boxing that much because there is such a deep talent pool. If they rob a Mexican it doesn't matter as much because there is another good Mexican right behind him.
On the other hand, the networks try to build up these American fighters who can't afford a loss because there is not another good American right behind him. If a Mexican loses, there's 20 other good Mexicans right behind him, if an American loses, there are no other Americans.
A older guy like Lampley...*** yeah he holds that GOOD OLE AMERICAN GRUDGE and that is why he bashes Rigondeaux every chance he gets. This is a man who mocked Prince Naseem religion during the Broadcast and even though I am not ****** I was as offended as George Foreman was and I haven't been a fan of Lampley at all.
But as far as Ward, Mayweather and Alexander style getting praised and only Rigondeaux and Lara style gets bashed...not that is a ***in LIE. Ward and Mayweather gets bashed by their OWN which makes it even worse, Andre Ward won a gold medal for this country and he gets bashed by the AMERICAN BOXING MEDIA as well for his style. How soon people forget how Lampley and Merchant use to bash the hell out of Mayweather style during his fights, don't remember? Just go watch the Baldomir fight
If people have a problem with President ***** just shaking Raul Castro hand or with Jay Z and Beyonce visiting Cuba...OF COURSE THEY ARE NOT GOING TO ROOT FOR CUBAN FIGHTERS!
I have no problem with Cubans, I like Rigo, Lara, Mike Perez, Pablo Hernandez, Richard Abril, Luis Garcia I could give a **** what country they are fromLast edited by sicko; 12-17-2013, 08:12 PM.Comment

I try to be nice unless it's racist nonsense or just plain horrible. Though semantics are true, it's mainly the usage of the word. Floyd is small but still big enough to make noise. 122 lbs like I said is light even for a girl and a young girl at that. It has to do with where fights are being held. If it's in America they prefer bigger guys, for a few reasons that are just my opinion. Americans strive to be bigger and better than what they are. It's what they like hence why sports like football are so big here. Countries in Asia it "seems" prefer things to be closer to themselves and more obtainable type goals from a mindset.
Also Americans are generally hard asses and judge a lot on appearance of someone they see. If I saw Rigo on the street it'd be more comedic than anything, it's rare seeing a 13 year old that small in the midwest let alone a grown man. It's basically a mindset of the differing countries, and America likes things big....as apparent by our obesity rates lol.Comment
