Maidana pill investigation

I do not think it is a pill, but I have been watching this video in slow motion time and time again. Just before Ariza raises the gauze towards Maidana's face, you can see him slide some solid white block onto the gauze, squeeze it and raise it towards Maidana's nose.

There is something there, but he seemed to raise it towards his nose, not his mouth. I am not sure what it was. Just after that though, he takes the same thing back out of the gauze, and rub Maidana's eye with it.

the same thing i saw in the video, might have been something to wake Maidana, he was 'woozy" something like to get back to your senses scent", he kept inhaling deeply not blowing his nose and ariza was the last to get off the ring as the round is about to start.

It's pretty unlikely. If there was anything there, it was something like a smelling salt - a volatile irritant that's more just like a slap in the face. They ain't stimulants in the physiological sense, but provoke an automatic alertness response in the body. Nothing was eaten (and anyway no ingested chemical could have started to before the end of the fight) and it sure as hell didn't look like anything was insufflated (in fact if anything Maidana appeared to recoil - as one might from a smelling salt) - anyway even insufflated stimulants would barely have started to take effect within 3 minutes.

If you've seen the full quality TMZ video where they slow the footage down there should be little doubt in your mind Ariza did in fact slide some sort of bulky looking off white object of irregular shape from underneath the napkin onto the top of it before he pressed it against Maidana's mouth. What it was exactly appears unclear. People are making the assumption it was a pill however it was definitely something.

Hope there is no controversy when it is done or it will be like Pryor vs. Arguello and they would have to have a rematch Broner did have him hurt after the 11th round. Victor Conte has made some allegations but the stuff he said was put in there would not turn up on a test so it may not even matter.

Man I hope no bull**** comes out of this. Maidana had the fight won without any illegal substance(alledgedly). If he was given anything to help with his stamina, during the fight, then I blame all parties involved. There's no way in hell I could fathom Maidana doing this. His power, pressure and jab were enough to win the fight.

Just imagine if two Ariza trained fighters in the S&C program come up dirty.. Hopefully every commission bans him from here on out. I just hope it's nothing and that Maidana is indeed clean when it's all said and done.

The guy right behind Maidana says "Javier.." Then tells Ariza(I think) "give him.." something, Alex nods his head and that's when it all starts... I would probably think nothing of it if it wasn't for Maidana pawing at the napkin as if he knew he was being given something.. SMH.. FUCK!!!
