Please don't put your bet on Martinez until he somehow shows he's still alive and kicking... (Martinez was actually very badly injured during his last two fights...)

He aint afraid of anyone dude. The point here is that Cotto has a massive ego and he feels that Canelo is being treated like the star because when they whent to Cotto they already had the date, venue and network lined up and then they give him a ****ing ultimatum to take the fight!!!!! Thats a slap in the face right there. Cotto is the A side he should be able to pick the date, venue, gloves, ring size, purse you ****ing name it!! We are talking about the guy that turned down a fight with Pacquiao two times because the terms were not good enough.

Canelo needs Cotto. Is not the other way around.

I think Cotto beats Martinez, but anyone thinking Sergio can't put Cotto to sleep are in denial. That fight is 50/50 IMO, Sergio is coming off another knee surgery on the same knee, a broken hand, 39 years old and a year and a half lay off with a debatable victory in his last fight. Martinez still has crazy power and he is a southpaw which is not ideal for Cotto, he is also taller and much longer than Cotto it's an even fight. Still Sergio's bad habits are going to bite him in the ass with his older age, as well as his injuries.

He relies on reflex to win, by sticking his head out with his hands down. Also he uses his legs to create space after landing some good combinations and/or pot shots. He is a Roy Jones type of a fighter, it's a great style to watch but if your timing is gone it's really useless your in a fight with your chin out and hands down. I've got Cotto for that reason, he's got a great jab to already throw off Sergio's timing, he'll be beating him down to the body and Sergio is not hard to hit.

Cotto will be a PPV attraction after he fights Martinez, so that's why Canelo will wait for him. Beating on any version of Cotto is safer and more lucrative than fighting prime LMWs.

His claim to fame when his career is over will be the trout win, or maybe a win over angulo in the future,,,
Buddy, the kid is 23 years old. Get used to Canelo being around for a long time. Molina and/or Lara are nowhere near Mayweather's level so get outta here with that comparison.

Floyd is a great boxer but he's not undefeated.
100% true! IF anybody ever seen the Jose Luis Castillo v. Mayweather fight, they know the truth! Castillo beat him and was robbed. Oh well, can't continue to cry about it.

I agree with you, Canelo is 23, people need to get used to him being around for a long time. Like it or not, he is a money making machine.

He is f boring. Dude doesn't have the killer instinct and plays it safe. You must be a huge fan of the Klitschko brothers too I suppose.

Canelo just needs to stop ducking James Kirkland already. He had all this year to fight him and next year, and watch him still duck kirkland.
